@MrWhit has had an issue in the past with refurbished phones from mobile phones direct, so I'm hoping hell give his experience below.

I've also had a few people with good experiences from this seller in the past

But, there's 4 good prices here recently reduced.

S10e refurb already? What are people doing with their phones?!
Hope that Mate 20 Pro isn't the one I returned
Ok so purchasing from MPD was straight forward with next day delivery. The phone was pristine including all accessories. Upon booting the phone up there was a screen magnification issue which wouldn't allow me to fully set up the phone so I rebooted it and the problem became worse so contacted CS to return. You have to contact them by phone which can involve a long wait. So anyway phone was returned for a refund and after several days I was contacted to state that there was damage to my device. Multiple pictures attached of various damage including a scratch across the rear camera. Obviously I was livid at this point.I was told that I would have to pay £100 or could have the phone sent back to me! Several phone calls/emails later quoting Trust Pilot etc, i was told i would receive a refund. Which received after a further 5 days. There are a number of really bad reviews on TP for these but equally I'm sure not everyone leaves a positive review when they're happy...I'm just glad I escaped on this one... I have just acquired a S10 Plus after enjoying the Note 9

Rufurb could also just mean it's a customer return within their 14 day period
Do the refurbed units come with warranty? I cant see anything on the site (although its a bit of a man look whilst at work). Interest in the mate 20 pro.

answered my own questions...

We make sure all our refurbished handsets are thoroughly inspected, tested and restored to get them as close as possible to the performance and appearance of their brand new counterparts.

All handsets are supplied complete with the battery and charger in either their original packaging or a new non-branded white box - in most cases additional accessories such as headphones etc. are included although we can only guarantee the battery and charger will be supplied. As all handsets are fully inspected, tested and reset by our engineers, we include a minimum 6 month warranty on all devices. A great way to get hold of the latest phone at a bargain price!

The XR is cheaper from envirophone and magpie today on eBay with the 10% code for black pristine £580 & £570 respectively.

It could also mean it's been used for 6 months or more, race to bottom with refurb standards nowadays - many sellers don't even bother to check battery health

True but in this instance with the s10e, it's likely a customer return because the phones only been out 3 weeks.

You're absolutely right
Had loads of trouble with both the Mate 20 Pro (display issues, now WiFi), and MPD (delivery process, awful customer service etc.) - certainly wouldn't trust anything refurbished from them.
Any idea if the mate 20 and mate 20 Pro are single or dual sim please.?
S10e is a good phone I bought one on launch but the fingerprint sensor / on off button takes some getting used to, fancy a mate 20 pro as just sold s10e on eBay
I believe claiming its ''refurbished'' is just buisness practice and 10/10 its just used / unwanted
