Samsung Galaxy S2 (White or Black) - £357 (£247 after cashback - no redemptions) @ O2

With the S3 imminent there are finally some cracking deals available on the S2.

This is the usual O2 contract play (apols to anyone who's now sick of these!), but completely straightforward - i.e. no downgrades or redemptions. Just go via Quidco to O2 and order the handset on 24mos, 50mins, 250text, with 100MB data. Note that it is NOT the tariff that you are after here - this is basically a 24mos credit agreement for a handset with a SIM/network service you can throw away!

As soon as you receive the handset, call or on-line chat O2 and ask them to remove the data bolt-on (to minimise the cost). You can give away or throw away the SIM.... That's it.

Cost is £104.99 down plus 24 x £10.50 (after removing data) = £356.99.

Quidco are offering £110 cashback on O2 until March 18th. The cost after cashback would be £246.99.

The phone may be locked to O2, but O2 will provide unlock codes FOC within a couple of days (read the first few posts for details).

There are LOADS of SIMO deals you could run in the handset for £6-£10/mo (including ones with unlimited data). This is much cheaper than a full contract for an S2.

quidco not guaranteed so cold from me

only cold from you because its not an iphone

Hot. Thanks for posting.
I've saved so much through Quidco! Very rarely I do have to put a cash back claim but at the end I've always got paid.
Voted hot, I'm still a bit **** that when i posted the refurb version of this deal that it was voted cold. (£202 after cashback but that's out of stock now) I registered mine no problems with Samsung so i'm hoping I've got the 2 year warranty as it wasn't previously registered.

This is definitely a hot deal, good luck, it's getting very close to the take-off threshold.

Just to add, Phone unlocked for free in 2 days, bolt-on removed in hours, cashback confirmed in less than a month.
very nice deal, are u sure u can take the data bolt off straight away or is it after the 1st month? and how reliable do u think quidco is for cashback, with this sort of deal if u take the bolt data off after would it still be honoured?

Yep, the Apple fan bois are learning the value of subtlety in their trolling.

Given that the S2 is no. 1 in their "hate parade", it will be interesting to see which phone supplants it, the S3 or the HTC One.
Quidco should always be considered a bonus imo. Theyve paid out for me everytime bar one. That was for an orange contract dongle about 2years ago when they 'claimed' the middleman between themselves and orange went bust.

There were many promises of payment, part payment from quidco's own coffers but always with the proviso linking to quidcos t&c's...............I was never hopeful and got nothing. Without checking I forget how much it was but memory says around £100, maybe a little more.
Best phone ever, white one is nice, just installed ICS on mine today its sooooooooo seXy
Any idea when the S3 will be out & how much it will drive down the prices of the S2?

I'm in the market for a new phone & this deal would suit me well, but the above factors are holding me back.

cold. brick phones were ok 10 years ago
Can you for sure get it for £247 with cashback? Wanting a new phone and my 3GS is getting a bit battered.
I am afraid the Iphone boys will always jump in on any S2 post as they know it's a better phone and this is the model that took over from the Iphone.
They do not comment on many other Android phones a bit sad really but hey ho whatever rocks their boat.
my wife has an iphone 4s, its only fit for girls. much to small and its a complete bit of crap I would not give you £50 for one. I have samsung S1 and it beats iphone 4s by a mile.
This is hot from me
I done this a month ago, the handset is locked but they unlock them in 3 days if requested
Amazing phone.. I have had it for about 6months and have no problems completely rooted and running ICS from Feb this year

Snap this bad boy up now you will not be disappointed
hmm, voted hot. Just wondering if you get this unlocked and plan to go with a different provider, wouldn't that be a breach of O2 24 months contract? what will O2 gain if customers leave them after a month getting this handset...

It deducts £15 from your calltime balance iirc.
Great deal - daughter in law has this and it is superb. My 4s has been troublesome with dropping calls and Siri is only for silly you-tube tricks as it only works when you have a 3g or wi-fi signal - I am sick of it either getting my request hilariously wrong or getting the "I'm really sorry but I can't help you right now" response. Replacement 4s is better and I don't agree with those who say it's crap but the posted deal is HOT.

The S3 won't be out until July now according to the net.
Thanks OP, been waiting for a decent deal on a new phone for a while now.

Actually, one of these looks more like a brick than the other.....

Heated OP, £250 (if cashback goes through) is a great price for this, especially as the ICS rollout started yesterday!

No it isnt, my parents both have the SI and its a good phone but not a quick or a slick in its UI as the iPhone 4s.

I hate how people can't be properly subjective about phones anymore. You dont have to be on a side or a team. Just take each phone by its merits. I currently have an iPhone but im excited to see what the SIII and the HTC One X are like, i will go try them and if i like either i will get it.

Competition is a good thing, it means all of the SmartPhone makers will keep pushing the boundaries and give us better phones. Embrace the competition rather than hate it.

This seems a good price for what you get. Heat Added.
