Reduced further with that snappy processor

But Obviously buying a phone of this price from a retailer like Wonda Mobile has risks (no warranty being the biggie)

If you aren't OK with the risks, then please buy a uk device with the exynos processor for that peace of mind.

Not sure about 4G/5G but worth checking the bands to see if they work with your carrier. You should add this to the post because it might be a deal breaker for some people.

From what I see this is the Korean version not the HK version. VOLTE won't work and it has very limited 5g bands compared to the HK version which is why it is cheaper. It also carrier branded and has some Korean apps which cannot be uninstalled.

Not the s20 variants, I used both s10 variants though. But from what people have been saying I'm getting the opposite, 6+ hours of heavy usage with 120hz easily with exynos.

Fair enough.
Given the choice I'd still take the SD route myself.

The storage capacity and the fact that one is dual sim and the other single sim, it seems.

depends on what you want to use it for. Most people complain about overheating of the new s20s with exynos. The main problem I have is the inferior gpus, my note 9 gets about 10fps using a 3ds emulator, the sd version gets 60fps

Someone mentioned on another thread a while back that there were issues with these and Samsung Pay and a couple of other things not working. Do you know if this is this correct and what are the other things that don't work? Thanks in advance for any information regarding this.

Google Pay should work. As someone that's used both I will never us sPay unless I'm made to (e.g. when the yearly beta build for the next OS arrives for Samsung e.g. 9 Pie and 10. Beta breaks gPay)

Yep, don't use Samsung Pay either. Was more concerned if it also meant that Google Pay didn't work or something else that may have been more important/useful.

I have been itching for an upgrade for a while but after seeing the exynos reviews and posts on reddit it has put me off. You mention that there is no warranty with this purchase, do wondamobile not give a guarantee at all or is it mearly just not a uk samsung warranty you are refering to?

I am just trying to figure out the best way to buy a SD version of the this phone.

Just no Samsung warranty, I rarely look into sellers warranties as they are generally a PITA to get any sort of CS out if them

If you're deadset on the snapdragon version then grand, but I cracked and got the uk/exynos one a few weeks back and it's been absolutely great. No overheating, battery lasts a full day with fairly decent usage, phone is quick to process...
I know comparative studies show one is a little better than the other and it sucks UK doesn't get the better one, but it doesn't mean the exynos is bad by any stretch.
Initially I had the same concerns, but when spending that much money, I didn't want the added hassle of an import with no warranty, should something go wrong.
wow 12GB RAM and 256 GB, quite impressive specs

FWIW I agree. I've been using the UK version (dual sim,5G) fairly heavily and had absolutely no issues with overheating or lack of performance. Battery also lasts fine even with 120 hz enabled. Have about 150 apps and zero issues. Have no idea why others are having such issues.

Thanks for posting but at the moment I think I will give the uk version a miss, this of course might change. I have been close so many times to just grabbing one as I like oneui and the actual phone is stunning looking from my quick play in the stores. Every time I read reddit I see many people disappointed with the phone or that they returned it, there are one or two like you who are happy with their purchase. The SD variant however seems to be much liked and a great phone and really its the phone I want to buy but like you the warranty aspect is off putting.

I have also looked at the oneplus 8 pro but although its a nice phone I would rather have a S20/S20+. Its a bit annoying really as I held off buying the S10 as the S20 promised so much and looked like a nice step up from the S10, I wish I had not of waited and just bought the S10. I have been living with a cracked screen for a while now.

I've used both and it's not even close. The exynos heats up really quickly and throttles performance and lowers the screen refresh rate too.

The irony is that my oneplus 7t performs better than the exynos s20.
Anyone actually purchased this?
Hunkerdown15/06/2020 23:52

What happened?

Always hot, from the day that I received it - unbearably so even when doing the most menial tasks. Battery life terrible - lasted me half a day. I'm sure the heat wouldn't have been good for the longevity either. Camera horrible - everything oversharpened and oversaturated during the day. Weirdly had a real problem focusing at night, even though Samsung has some awesome focusing tech in the s7. Real downgrade from my note 9
Does anyone know whether the single sim version will actually take two sims, one physical one and and esim?
Great deal as always Switchy! Have you ever bought from Tecobuy? They've got some good import deals on at the moment but I presume they're on the banned list for one reason or another.
