Good deal.

Take away the £899 RRP and your essentially paying £8.41 a month for 60gb data

Keep in Mind this is a 4g tarrif with a 5g device

Glad you noticed that, I didn't! Shame!

Oh it does with a bit brute force but you wont be able to use it afterwards.
Over a £1000 for a contract that cannot use the phone's full capabilities? Cold.
it's not actually full 5g, watched a video on it, and if your city has 5g it will only be 20% faster than 4g on a good day

MKBHD?
In more detail, all Samsung S20's offer 5G. However only the plus model and ultra support mmWave 5G as they require additional antennas. The base model only supports sub-6GHz 5G which is what most networks offer at this stage anyway.

mmWave 5G is faster than sub 6Ghz 5G. However mmWave 5G is a bit like using the 5Ghz network at home over 2.4Ghz. Faster speeds yet lower coverage areas. Its not something that I'd be that concerned about considering this is hotUKdeals and not hotUSAdeals.

Its aslo worth noting the 5G variant comes with 12GB ram, not 8GB which is probably more benefical to most.

Not full as in no mmWave support which isn't an issue in the UK anyway as we don't currently offer that.

5G in the UK was found to be much faster than 20% -
theregister.co.uk/201…ff/
5g.co.uk/new…56/

"A separate analysis by speed tester Ookla today reported that 5G deployments are now live in 29 cities in the UK. It found that, on average, 5G speeds are 463.6 per cent faster than 4G speeds, with average download speeds of 176Mbps."

Im pretty sure the 4g model has 12gb ram too ?
Also you said all s20 models are 5g so even the 4g model ?
Some confusing info you've put there

Nope. The 4g model has 8GB ram.

Sorry, I meant all 5g variants. So, you have the 4g variant of the base model with 8GB RAM, and the 5G variant with 12GB RAM. The plus and ultra both have 12GB RAM as standard (The ultra has an option with 16GB) and the "better" 5G.

Thanks, i see, due to all the different models i had seen s20 12gb ram, so thats the optional 5g model i guess, theres a lot of differences through the huge range of models lol.
I was hoping for something around 6.4 inch with the ultra specs, the plus and ultra are too big for me and the s20 doesn't offer much of an upgrade over my mate 20 pro, guess its stick with my huawei

Yeh, I know what you mean. I wanted the ultra specs but in the normal size phone, and in black. However Samsung have decided I cant have the most standard colour with the best camera....

So looks like I'll get the standard 5G variant in Grey.

CPW have £100 cashback today, and my S10 should fetch a few hundred.

Can confirm the three one, recently been getting ridiculous speeds of 200-400kb/s download on 4g - ridiculous. I'm on 10/month unlimited data deal.
Is there any Hot S20 deal?

How do you get £100 cashback ? I just saw they're selling the 5g for the 4g price too
Through TCB.

I've just been offered a really good deal through EE (Weirdly, it took 3 phone calls) and am now stuck between the grey standard model (Dont want Grey. Want Black) or the + model which I've always felt was too big, but in Black with the free earbuds.

£200 upfront + £36.75 per month for the 5G standard model (60GB data 5G plan)
£300 upfront + £36.75 per month for the plus model, with earbuds. (30GB data 5G plan)

Note: I know this thread isnt that much more, but I want to stick with EE and this is the best I've managed to get so far. Cheaper than CPW who I thought were the cheapest.

I'll put my sensible head on, and say the s20 series, S20 4g/5g/+/Ultra, are all better than the mix 3 5g.

Are they better value, no!

Ah yes, Read that. Regarding the USA comment, should i be happy with sub 6ghz 5g or would it be better to go for the plus looking forward over the next 2 years?
Well its a lot faster but I'd br surprised if its rolled out here any time soon. I'd base your decision purely off size unless your keeping it for years.

For me, what's annoying is I want free headphones but I'd prefer 6.2 than 6.7 inches. Cant win.

That's actually my main gripe too. I've never been fussed on the plus models, standards are big enough imo. Think I'll just grab that 5G standard model. Thanks for your help!
I've literally just ordered mine.
