2 years old, but still a great phone.......

you can add little more and buy S4, i never managed to find a good deal via groupon

Decent deal like, since the cheapest I've seen is a pre-owned s3 for £149ish

Far better deal than refurbs for £20>30 less with 60 day warranty.

Agree. Groupon deals are a bit of a nonsense

lol thanks for my morning giggle phone is almost as dated as the nokia 3310 and you guys are willing to give almost £200 for one.
On the plus side atleast you aint buying apples lame excuse of a phone.

Hot deal I would say, don't forget 5.25% topcashback roughly an extra £10 off

I bought mines from Asda for £250 a few months ago, this is a good deal!

I vote hot as in June I got a s3 on contract for £23pm which makes the phone £250 +cost of mins, data, text comparing to sim only deals at £253 ish over 24 months . S3 is still a good phone and for this price there is not much else on offer. Motox maybe but camera not as good. Cheapest s4 is £300 new on eBay

It's worth mentioning that these are stuck on 4.3 with no update for 4.4 (KitKat) and beyond gsmarena.com/gal…php

where can I find an unlocked/sim-free S4 for this kind of price? or even less than £250?

I would have bought one if this was the 4g version as I just bought an EE SIM card...

I miss my S3, I preferred it to the S4 that I have now for some reason. It's a great phone still despite how old it is and I'd go for this for the price if I was looking for a new phone within this sort of budget.

Just waiting for the Moto G lovers to start.

16GB is also generous and there is a micro sd slot which is a bonus!

Hmmmmm....

The S2, S3 & S4 are extremely capable phones and should not be dismissed based on a newer model being available.

We are now at the point in the mobile phone market where newer phones are goign to be based on looks and software features, there isnt much between hardware anymore.

Samsung offer a 2 year warranty

Pity....Not 4G version

This is £190 for an unlocked phone with a decent camera, a micro sd slot, 16GB memory, an android OS, quad core processor and more...

Definitely getting enough for your money.

Ordered thanks

Still a very capable phone for most users needs! Admittedly only 3g but considering that I sold my 3 month old S3 on eBay for £150 last week then it makes this a good deal. Jog on son.

Does ASDA not have this for around £169 in store?

I suggest going only for the 4G version (i9305) as it's more future proof with a spec only slightly lower than the S4.
The 2GB of ram makes all the difference speed wise [ this version (i9300) with 1GB is the same as S2 / Moto G]

I had a Nexus 5 and sent it back as felt the vanilla android was unpolished and only had a 1 year warranty / no memory card slot.
The 2 year warranty direct from Samsung also gives piece of mind.

ok, so you're comparing £220 for a grade *B* galaxy S4 which is *locked* to a network, vs. £190 for a *brand*new* *unlocked* S3?

We have an S3 and Nexus 5 in our house the N5 is obviously better and worth an extra £50 - but the S3 is still a very good phone and is recommended.

Yes. samsung.com/uk/…ty/

My S3 is now two years old and it's running Kit Kat 4.4 aka Cyanogenmod 11, no hassle install from beta.download.cyanogenmod.org/ins…all. Back up your photos and contacts first, plug it in and follow the instructions, it auto roots and you barely have to do a thing, the S3 runs faster than ever, can't see me needing a new phone for a while for as long as CM offers this level of support.
