Please be gentle with me- first post virgin. I've been looking for a S2 or S3 for some time now. I'm someone who refuses to pay over £20 per month for a mobile, but am looking for a lot of bangs per buck. My contract is nearly up with 3 and the best they could offer me was a similar deal on a S2 for £28pm!

I haven't seen a S3 with unlimited data for anything even close to this price! I use squillions of minutes per month calling Mrs Pulp, and not too many calling others, so, with unlimited data I can just use Skype or Viber and happy days!

No nasty cash-back deals either so what you see is what you get. The phone alone is worth in the region of £350, so you're getting all the rest for about £130 on the contract- or about £5 a month! A choice of pebble blue or white.

Buy before 30 April and take advantage of the great offer that Charlie Kilo posted - £65 worth of freebies ( apps 'n' stuff ) and a 16GB micro SD card- which you can claim from the Samsung website- just show proof of purchase and IMEI number. It's the gift that just keeps giving :-).

24 month contract
"All-you-can-eat" data usage i.e. no fair usage policy

amazing deal... nice spot and good post

Not bad, also on O2 for £22 per month. Cheapest I have seen

Interesting, could you post a link to the Charlie Kilo posted or the relevant Samsung link?

oO Wish I'd seen this deal two weeks ago when I upgraded my phone to a Samsung Galaxy S2 on the same terms.....

You could also have the htc one x on same deal or go for the nexus 4 for an extra £1 a month

Thanks for that sphinxy- Didn't know whether to post a link to where it was listed or to the shopping basket, thought the latter may still have been linked to me personally.

The link for extra freebies that Charlie Kilo posted is:

Nice deal, shame about the network provider

Can get the amazing HTC one for as tiny bit more.. Much better modern phone than this plastic toy phone.

Good deal. I went with the £15.50/month with T-mobile as I just wanted the phone as I already have unlimited data contract.

don't see how this is a good deal compared to the S4 deals

Cracking deal.

Well, it's cheaper, with more data! erm....

might as well spend a lil more on a HTC one or s4, no point getting new contract with old phone, not cheap-cheap enough to justify

Not for you maybe but it helps people like me who are trying to decide between the 3 phones.

Thanks for posting the deal.

Just ordered. Heat added.

Can anyone explain the "Mobile Phone Insurance with 1st Month Free". Is there a fee for this as I couldn't see anyway to cancel it.

Decent price, just remember that if and when it gets updated to 4.2, or 5.0 (more likely), then it will probably be the last official update.

Will personally never own a samsung phone again partly due to their notoriously slow updates. The odd minor update you can live without, bet even the Jelly Bean update took almost half a year to come out.

Good deal, thinking about ordering, anyone had a phone from them. Are these like the buymobilephoes.net who sent out reconditioned S3's when they were on for £15.50. Tried calling sales, but they have close now until tomorrow and do no want to miss out on this deal.

great find

You will need to cancel it within 30 days, otherwise you will be charged at £6 a month IIRC. Obviously they're hoping inertia will lead some not to cancel, and whatever the insurance company is paying mobileshop is helping to get the cost down to this price. Hope that helps.

s4 for a bit more here

Sorry 3 are the worst network ever for customer service and thats a fact.Wouldnt have it for free and gift wrapped.Buy at your own peril.

I have had the same phone and the same network for 8 months now with unlimited data. Not one problem, even though i rack up some high data useage. Would recommend.

Actually T-Mobile and Orange performed worse than Three in Ofcom's last report.

That is a fact. I'd believe a report rather than someone on the internet.

I would agree that three's customer service is pretty bad. I have been with them since they started up except for one year when I moved to T-mobile. I find their network service to be pretty good. In all my time with them I have maybe had to deal with their customer service three or four times, yes it was wearing but I still ended up going back to them as no one else comes close to their deals. My advice would be if you have issues pop into one of their shops and see if they can help you. Great deal for a great phone. As for the comments about the phone being plasticky, I admit I love an aluminium phone, having had a Nokia N86 years ago, but I honestly think the phone is as close to perfect for me as I could get. The S4 has a marginally bigger screen, and some other technical upgrades but I think most phones are getting close to edge of what more ram, faster processor etc. can get them to do and the new selling points are software upgrades. Horses for courses you go for what deal suits you, good luck..

An good point

Its also worth noting that samsung stick a load of crap on top of the standard android OS which can affect performance

Tempting? Can anyone help me with a link about armaj36 and stocks comments on HTC one for £1 more please?

The Samsung crap can be disabled from the settings menu.

Interesting, keeping an eye on contracts as I'm in the last month of my T-Mobile and they have never offered me anything decent in retentions. Think I'd go for the LG Nexus 4 for £21, slightly newer phone, updates from Google (though it's a double edged sword in my opinion), downside is fixed battery and no SD slot.... but that is OK with me.

Hot deal for the phone and 3 are OK in my book.heat added .

My daughter got this at xmas for £23 pm. She's been delighted with the phone and uses for internet, music, videos and chat constantly. Not had any problems so not had to speak to three. Brand new phone supplied. I didn't take out the insurance even though first month free and instead took out yearly policy separately which was much cheaper. I'd definately recommend this one.
