It's potentially sub-£20 a month for one of the latest & high specced smartphones, and you're wondering why the allowances are on the low side?

Isn't browsing different from say watching YouTube which you would definately need a data package for?

This deal is cold as ice. Prefer to wait till O2 will lover the prices.

Utter rubbish, I've used mobilephonesdirect 4 times with no issues whatsoever!

Not a bad price but the S3 is let down by its poor build quality.

It just looks and feels to cheap to be taken seriously.

Maybe it has something to do with every iphone post being hijacked by people saying it's rubbish and you should get a Samsung Galaxy S3 as it's the best phone the world has ever seen in the history of phones ever. It all gets very boring doesn't it.

I agree with you though, there is absolutely no point in mentioning anything other than the product in the post.

Heat added though as it seems a cracking price for you to get hold of one of the best phones on the market (shock horror, I'm an iphone owner).

IPhone 5S... that was fast this time. Any link?

    +1

has everyone forgotten how long 3G took, and how dire it was initially? these "40Mbps" LTE results shown in articles are meaningless - wait for the iPhone 5S/6 or Galaxy S4

Get PAC and move to PAYG with another network. Then when you get new phone do the same from PAYG network to T-mobile.

Because it is the streaming and downloading that is limited.

Seems a really sweet deal, Quidco is £30 assuming that pays up its £19.25 a month.
  19. speedking's avatar
Samsung hasn't paid anyone! The simple fact is getting an iPhone 5 for this sort of price is totally not going to happen. The handset is only free on higher priced tariffs and therefore the cost of ownership is far greater.
  20. Rich44's avatar
Presumably because the iphone 5 has only just come out and there are NO good deals whereas the S3 has been around a little while now and there are some cracking offers.

I don't know as I have no interest in looking for iphone 5 offers

If you can find an iPhone 5 on a 24 mnth contract for £504 I'm sure it would go hot.
  23. nerd187's avatar
It's because apple don't allow any discounts so the price you see is the price you pay hence never no deals posted for the iphone

I am on T-Mobile on an "Unlimited" Internet bundle and its a load of hogwash. They limit your internet access after 1GB (might be 1.5GB) and start sending you cheeky texts to reign in your usage. 3 has a much better deal. My nephew has it on 3 and often does 20GB a month and they never bat an eyelid. He tethers to his laptop and uses this instead of having home broadband.

I have come to the conclusion TopCashBack is better. They dont take £5pa commission and Quidco owe me £30 but cant be bothered to follow it up with the merchant.

Yes. There is a Fair Usage Allowance for downloads and streaming. Reportedly, if you go over this, your data rate is throttled (to 384Kbps, I suspect) until the end of the billing period, but no additional charges are incurred.

Good deal. Minutes, texts, unlimited browsing and the descent data download make this deal a tempting so hot but from third party who are not great on after sales so cold. Take your chances oh yes it's Samsung phone:-)

Its because a lot of people don't understand how its supposed to work and just vote iPhone 5 deals cold even if its the best deal available on the basis that its expensive, which is a shame as otherwise it could help people who do want an iPhone 5 to find a decent deal. It doesnt need to be cheaper than its rival to be a good deal.

That aside, voted hot as this seems like a great deal for an S3.
