excellent price, would have been tempted but just got the Sony z3 from o2.

ooh, was all set on buying an s5 then saw the new Moto X play. decisions decisions.

I presume these will be locked? How much to unlock without losing warranty?

Is this definitely national? Tempted by this

It is online to buy at this price so it must be national

Very good price. I bought one under contract a few months ago. I was going to buy one and do a sim only but the phone was £330 cheapest at the time. Not sure if you can even get a grey imported one for this money. heat added.

As far as I know you keep your warranty if you just unlock it for use with other sims, but if you unlock the bootloader or root the phone, you are more likely to have problem with returns

I bought mine on a similar deal in December. Tried eBay for unlock code but they were unable to supply it. Eventually arranged unlock through Vodafone store at £20 which from memory can take up to 14 days. So on the basis that Vodafone unlocked the device I would say this does not invalidate your warranty.

Vodafone checkout sucks ... again

Does anyone know if these are covered in Vodafone branding or not?

About time, been after an S5 for awhile now, but at a reasonable price!

off to the shops later

This is probably in light of Samsung announcing an upcoming price cut for the S6 - possibly worth waiting a week if you can.

Unlocking the SIM will not invalidate your warranty.

Doesn't seem that long ago that the S3 was going for this sort of price....

if i unlock this to go on ee how do i get updates will ee send the update?

For some reason the Samsung Galaxy S5 didn't have good sales and was damaging for Samsungs profits as it wasn't so popular but I don't understand why?

Vodafone...probably the worst customer Service in the world.

Anybody know if John Lewis will price match this? They are selling the sim free version.

It would appear the S6 is going the same way but I think that could be partly due to lack of removeable battery/SD card. Inthink the S5 was a disappointment as to what it was constructed out of?

I think it was just a quick release of a phone to keep up with iPhone non stop launches rather than a meaningful one. (same as iPhones really! shove any old rubbish out with no major updates to compensate the price!) .

[b]HOT....i bought mine a hundred pounds more just over a month ago.... shud hav waited[ /b]

Worth bearing in mind the price drop announced today on 6 and 6 edge models. Not sure when it's meant to happen, just that it is.

Not from EE, you should still get updates from vodafone as these are sent via the internet rather than vodafone specific network.

Good price
Purchased one at a similar price 6 months ago, only regret is upgrading the OS to lollipop, apps unable to use SD card and it overheats.

from the Vodafone website :
"It’s £19.99 to unlock a Pay as you go phone. Make sure you have enough credit so we can take payment.

Click each of the following boxes to confirm that they apply to you.

I have at least £20 credit available

The phone hasn’t been reported lost or stolen

I haven’t already requested a code this year for this number

I’ve been using my Pay as you go SIM in my phone for more than 30 days"

So its 30 days before you can apply to unlock this phone.

Good deal if you are looking for S5 but samsung's resales is next to nothing so in long run (2+yrs) I would stick to ip6.

Not sure SD card slot or removable battery makes much difference to Joe Public.

I think Samsung are being torn apart by Apple and Xiaomi et al in The Far East, where they have been traditionally very strong.

Samsungs and iPhones prices are going to keep on dropping now that Chinese phones are flooding the market.. Yay good on them UK phones are way over priced so happy days!!

True but there are ways around the non-removable battery and non-expandable memory for the Samsung Galaxy S6…

1. You can buy a portable phone charger which these days you can pick up from £5 on Amazon or eBay brand new.

2. You can also buy a memory stick (mine is a small 64 GB Kingston) and connect that to a small USB-on-the-go adapter which can work with any memory stick of any memory and it even works with my 2TB hard drive. So this is a very useful way of expanding storage on the Samsung galaxy S6 and my 64 GB memory card and USB-on-the-go adapter cost me around £15 and now I can view PowerPoint, word documents, spreadsheets, music, videos, pics and movies on! Believe me this is a much better way than spending a whole lot extra for the 64 GB or 128 GB versions! All it is, is an adapter which has a Micro USB output and allows you to connect a USB stick to it so essentially it's basically connecting a USB stick to the phone.

Samsung just can't get it right sadly. The S6 is a lovely phone but they just can't topple the apple fan base. dropping the price on your flagships says it all. they cannot seem to crack China at all either

OOS?
Won't let me checkout as I have picked an item that is out of stock. can't add gold one and after adding black one I get the above message.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 destroys the iPhone 6 in every way!

As a S5 owner since release, Im still VERY happy with my phone and nothing released since impresses me to upgrade, highly recommended phone + water resistent.

I got an S5 three weeks ago in Cex for £280, sim Unlocked, traded in some old stuff etc.

Not a bad phone at all. I do prefer my Z2, better battery, front facing speakers, more "interesting", however the s5 has its own benefits... very similar in size, but the S5 feels easy to carry around, a noticeable difference in weight, which is a biggie.

So much touchwiz guff though, will be looking at putting on a from soon.
