Hot deal on S5 REFURB

All colours currently in stock

Straight payg option no difference to refresh deal. Works out the same price.

Equally as good if not better than One Plus One deal posted.

Phone is just as good with much better camera, ip water rated, uk warranty backed by major network and manufacturer. Also, expandable memory and changeable battery.

Not knocking OPO as I have one and love it but this is a far more hasslefree option for an equally good or better phone.

Also, Refresh deal works fine. Purchased a LG G3 from 02 last week and posting this on it now.

Phone is in PERFECT condition. Not a mark anywhere. Comes in refurb box with micro usb cable.

Cancelled contract and paid device plan. Total cost was £192

Bargain for a great phone.

I've just signed one of the kids up to o2 for Xmas, literally last week - is there a time scale or something for these or can literally anyone with an o2 contract sign up?

Need to subscribe for 24 months with a minimum of £13 / month, so quite misleading title...

Overall cost = 269 + 24*13 = 529 (with "only" 500 Mb data)

Title is correct - with these 'Refresh Deals' you cancel the airtime contract straight away and pay the phone off in one payment.

Nope, your missing the point.

O2 allow you to buy out the phone portion if you cancel the refresh contract (if im understanding this correctly).

I understand why I may think that but I assure you I am correct.

Please do your research on these deals on this site and even speak to 02 to confirm what I have written.

Also, payg option is better and less hassle at same price. Most of their refresh deals have higher payg price compared to airtime+device price.

No timescale I'm aware of but depends if your current deal is a refresh deal. I would say double check with 02 but if you take the payg option it's better and you're then free to choose your own calls and data tariff and network

Nokia lumia 630 £4 + £8 airtime = £12 pm on Refresh

Cheers, current deal is for a new iphone 5c from a cpw sister company, mobiles.net I think. Thanks for the tip re payg option. Phone will be for me, i'm stuck on the oneplan from 3 and can't upgrade - I like my gadgets but theres no way I'm dropping 500 on a phone - refresh deal is just the ticket for me.

How do u get the payg option?

Online says all colours are in stock but 's probably have more up to date info.

Also, 02 deals don't usually have a payg option but earlier site definitely had the option to buy payg. Its removed now but if you have decent credit to pass a check it's almost as simple.

have purchased HTC M8 & LG G3 In recent weeks on the these deals.

Both phones were locked to 02 but unlocked free before cancelling paying off device plan and cancelling airtime.

sometimes they make you wait a week before releasing unlock.

I just done the online chat and she said no to payg for £269.99 and that they had no refurbished ones in stock. offered to sell me a new one for £470

Do you have a link to the payg fir £270?

Did someone mention payg?

Third line in op description.

Do I have to wait for my unlock code before cancelling? Been a few hours since the request - still waiting.

is there a link to where to i can cancel it i want to pay for the phone but don't want the contract .cant find how to lost help me please

Visit the note 3 thread.

All the info you need is there

Note 3 thread

In a nut shell

1. Order phone on o2 refresh tariff.

2. Wait for phone to arrive

3. Request free unlock code by filling out this form (if it's locked)

4. Wait until code arrives and Ring customer services, tell them you want to terminate the contract and pay off the phone.

5. Enjoy your new phone

Ps. Code usually takes about 24 hours to be emailed to you and I was told by customer services that the phone needs to be on the o2 network for at least 24 hours before they will issue code. Although some people have stated this isn't necessary.

I would stick the SIM in until code arrives anyway to be on safe side

It's not about cancelling in the traditional sense that incurs an early … It's not about cancelling in the traditional sense that incurs an early termination fee.O2 Refresh splits up the monthly payment into a device plan and airtime plan. It's aimed to enable you to pay off for the device at any time and get a different phone/plan. However, paying off the device plan then entitles you to one of three things:1. Keep the airtime and pay only that amount monthly2. Take out a new phone and plan3. Close (cancel) the airtime planTo get deals like this, what you do as soon as you get the device is:1. DO NOT ACTIVATE OR USE THE SIM PROVIDED.2. Call them and tell them you want to pay off the device plan.3. Once the agent has finished processing that transaction, tell them you want to cancel the airtime plan. Sometimes, you need to remind them that since you're cancelling the airtime during the cooling off period, you would expect not to be charged for the first month's bill. Most times, this charge does get applied but you just need to call in and request a refund or log into your O2 account, check whether it's showing as in credit when you click the account listed under "Disconnected Bill" and go to http://www.o2.co.uk/finalbillrefund to enter the relevant details requesting a refund (the amount in credit).

Its not effing zero two. FFS.

A lot of us don't understand how these deals work. it would be nice if someone could explain 'refresh'

Not sure whether I was just unlucky but had a bit of problem getting the airtime cancelled. Guy said I had to give 30 days notice, told him I was within first 14 days, but he told me my only rights within this was to send the phone back. He spoke to his manager who said the same thing and kept referring me to the t&c's. Eventually managed to get it disconnected but just a warning to you all.

Filled the form in 10amish yesterday, got the code 6pm tonight.

Just to continue my first post, sim was still working an hour after guy on the phone said it would be disconnected immediately, no disconnection confirmation email either. Ended up spending an hour on chat and now the sim is no longer working and I made sure I got an email from them confirming the disconnection.

Think it's just luck of the draw, I bought two phones and the first one I managed to pay off and cancel within 10 mins no problems at all.

This is very confusing so how many minutes and text and data do you get if its 500MB thats a joke on 4G

Just ordered one, only blue or gold available at the moment.
Does anyone know if you can cancel the airtime contract and carry on paying the phone at £10 per month?

No you can't
No you can't
No you can't

My phones bout had it, as you can see lol.
Thats why ive ordered one of these ;-)

I cancelled the same day, paid off the device plan and told that was it.
Today I check and there is a bill for £245 for early termination.
All I get from o2 is to cancel my direct debit, I can't see this being a good move. Surely I will get a default on my credit rating if they try to take this amount and the DD is not in motion?

They did the same thing with me on the note 3 deal.

I rang them up and they said it was sorted and I wouldn't be charged.

I rang back a few days later to confirm and they were just as confused but sorted it immediately with a credit on my account.

I confirmed this because I got disconnected just as the cs said she was sorting it and when I called back it had been done.

I'll keep an eye on my account to see if they clear the bill.

I have cancelled the DD now anyway.

I've just got a charge for £342.90, AFTER paying off and getting confirmation letter!!!
