seem to have a few refurb models back in stock ..just thought I'd add the s5 to the list
shoose the tariff with £ 29.99 up front (inc 8gb data)

you can then pay it off for £269.99 and you appear to still get your 12 month warranty

BEWARE O2 ARE STILL CHARGING ME AIRTIME EVEN THOUGH I CANCELLED THE AIRTIME WITHIN 1DAY AND I PAID OFF THE PHONE IN FULL.

    Decent price I thought?
    Me too, heated.
Looks pretty decent to me, though I'm not a fan of refurbs. Heat for what it is though.
is there way of purchasing without the 24 month contract
o2 don't provide a charger with this refurb. They say:
'O2 is working to try and reduce waste. And as 70% of people already have a USB charger at home, we've decided to not include one with your phone. '

However, the charging port on an S5 is USB 3.0 and most people will have a USB 2 charging cable. Anybody know if this will still work?
    Yes. It is compatible
O2 returbs are great. nearly all handsets are ones that were returned in the cooling off period, or handsets that weren't delivered, because as soon as the imei is registered against someone's account it's no longer new.

yes. take out the contract and cancel by paying of the device plan and o2 waive the airtime cost meaning your free to cancel and leave
you can ask them to apply 1 months airtime on your plan if you will be keeping this contract and quidco will also give you £55 (if you go for £33 quid package or more)
also if you want to keep the contract you can get the 30 % airtime off only applicable to those people whos companies are registered with o2

Amazingly, at 18 and only 1 month of having a credit card i was accepted... Oh well, easy way to get some credit ticks... Anyone gone from nexus 5 to s5? Not entirely convinced it will be an upgrade
In terms of warranty, Samsung should also cover the phone for 2 years from original sale / manufacture

    Nexus 5 all the way.

Im currently using a N5 and find the camera and obviously battery life to be really appalling. Will the S5 be a good sub? Thanks...

I asked that but based on reviews, the n5 is best because of stock android. On looks and functionality i think the s5 takes it

Thanks. I need a much better camera than the N5 where it focusing time is killling me, softly
Is it not £300 in total, so the £30 upfront cost and £270 thereafter or am I missing something obvious here? I am not familiar with o2 refresh.

29.99 upfront. Don't use the phone at all with the sim card, ring up, unlock, cancel contract, pay off the device contract (24x10), total 269.99

Upfront cost + Credit amount = Device amount payable

    In this case £29.99 + £240 = £269.99

You will also have to factor in the first month's airtime plan cost so on the £28 tariff this would be another £18 making £287.99 in total. HTH

i think its 240 (10 a month for 24 months) and the 30 down payment.. not too shabby I think.

My phone is only used for snapchat etc, I have a bridge camera for other stuff. I wouldn't rely solely on your phone for pics, but the m8 might be better for you as the camera is rated higher. That's £240 on a deal like this

You beat me to it ;-) So definitely no additional costs on the airtime plan? I'll try that when my daughter's M8 comes but I'm not hopeful...

Ahh right ok thanks I understand the refresh concept now

Has anyone done this yet? Would be good to hear if someone has done this and avoided the first months line rental. If so, I think I'd go for this as I am on giffgaff anyway so I wouldn't even need to unlock the phone.

Just bare in mind the charging time will be slower with usb 2.0

Yes, there are multiple deals for these o2 refresh phones. It's a known fact how easy it is to cancel
Can someone explain to a novice exactly how this works please? I've been look for an S5 out of contract for ages now. Tia

I got accepted and i've had a credit card a month, paid off once, and i'm not 19 yet!
How much do they (o2) charge to unlock pls?
Has anyone actually done this previously. Every time I have they've charged for the phone plan and then two years airtime too! It's a right ball ache to get the hundreds of pounds refunded that they should never take to begin with!

Great deal, spend 20 quid and get a wireless charger for it as well, so worth it
I didn't pay the first month airtime when I did this, as I cancelled within the 14 day cooling off period
I can't find a wireless charger for £20 with this deal.
