I would highly doubt it, and as its fulfilled by amazon they would deal with any customer service complaints and pull the product form sale if it was

Lots of people on the reviews saying phone is shipped with Korean/Chinese Language default, not in English- one reviewer saying phone is not compatible in EU.....

Could you not just put a UK firmware on it?

Actually very true so a hot deal. Far better phone than the iPhone 6 and alot cheaper. Much better as you also removable storage something the apple saps have to pay daft money for.

If its not an EU item you have ZERO warranty from Samsung.

Something fishy with this deal. No way can it be £100 less than everywhere else.

Non UK phone presumably or a grey import from somewhere?

On receipt it seems to work. However, this phone comes from Hong Kong. On starting it had a Chinese language setup and then when delving into different apps, many did not work. I phoned Samsung who confirmed that the firmware version was from Hong Kong and so there would be incompatibility issues in the EU and no warranty if the phone had any issues. The one star is for Amazon - they have agreed to refund the phone and also the parts that I bought to go with it such as the screen protector and case.I have no problems with ordering from Amazon but they do need to check the items they are selling - please check the model number or CSC number of the phone before purchase - if you have the phone dial *#1234# and the numbers will be displayed.

Yes Sandstone Black 64GB. I bought via invite direct from the website , not from the Chinese sellers. Liked it so much got one for my wife too. Outstanding phone.

No invites left sorry, had them last week though for about a fiver you can get one off eBay.

Having said that, the invite system is changing to a pre-order system. Check their blog out for details

Don't see how this price is news to anyone. Has been a few quid cheaper than this on eBay for a good few weeks at least. Exactly the same model number. Regardless, it's still a good price.

Besides the having two sim slots, what's the difference between this and the S5 duo (which is the same price)?

For the person who suggested the OnePlus..... GPS sucks dude
Had to sell mine because it took forever to lock and even then it's unreliable.

THREE. There you go wait over.

Back to this though, I have not been enthralled with Samsung's Galaxy direction post SGS3 but at least they still stuck to key features for me like removable battery and Micro SD card. Which I don't care what Google or other companies think, expandable should be mandatory for smartphones and ESPECIALLY top spec, top price ones. Such phones without them are retarded.

If I wanted so much cloud storage as if that was the answer to that problem I would have bought an iphone and had no problem with their security being easily breached by kids fiddling with the family laptop....

Glad I went with my G901F in the end as opposed to the 900F. Still a hot deal.

Didn't you try flashing EU firmware?

*cough*

It's JUST a phone, settle down children. Now eat your breakfasts and go to school / work ;-P

Just thought I'd add....my wife is from HK and she bought a Galaxy S5 for our daughter while over there in May. It was a generic HK version which as the original poster says has the Chinese language setup screen. However you can change that to English and setup as normal. HK gsm and 3g/4g bands and compatible with Europe and it even has the same 3 pin plug as UK.

Once set up though everything works perfectly just as if it was a UK version. We've not had any app compatibility issues but it did have some local bloatware which didn't work over here. Its also not region locked but only problem is the warranty would not be honoured by Samsung over here.

Anyway I flashed UK firmware onto it without any issues.

If you want a phone with best battery life and as fast and capable just get a LG g2 it really is the equal of any phone on the market and can be had cheap now.i paid 175 for mine when on offer at Vodafone other week but smartfonestore has them in cheap on grade b.the best phone of last year and equal to any this year.

I am writing this now on a Korean Galaxy S5 prime. No problems with language settings etc.Paid a lot more than this
