How good condition are the argos refurbs?

The Mrs got an S5 and it was perfect, only thing damaged was the box where stickers had been ripped off.

How good condition are the argos refurbs?

Open box , Customer returns.
Not 'used' refurbs (though minor use prior to return is possible)
Generally pretty good

A while ago I had a moto G 4g that came with a dodgy touchscreen and the back cover broken so it wouldn't fit properly. But most people have better luck!

Are they good for returns, say its not quite a minter, like some marks around the charging port or tiny scratches on the screen?

Yes as long as there returned within 30days, you also have to pay the return P&P.

More than brand new LG G4 ... hard to see this as a deal

bought an refurb S5 a few months back , returned due to a scratch on the camera lens . However i would not of said it was in open box brand new condition . it was more of a A grade with minor marks & scratches. As with any refurb I think its luck of the draw .
I've since bought a refurb from o2 directly , it was in "as new" condition ...

Blackberry Priv- physical keyboard

Do you never get bored of posting this drivel on every single phone post?

CPW has dropped the sim free S6's to £349

And they have the blue ones

Yes the blue ones are awesome but the battery of the S6 puts me off

d based on 3 previous Argos refurbs, which turned up well used/scratched etc.,

yeah, good deal right now, but the new sealed ones will be this price soon when the S7 is very close.

Would not touch one. Know 2 people with one and have to take a charger and battery power pack everywhere they go as need charging that often.

If the rumours turn out to be true then the S7 is apparently coming with a larger battery, if it does that surely proves there's problems with the S6 battery size/life? Apparently the Marshmallow update doesn't improve things.

I havent touch any samsung after a tab3 and S3 bad experiences
Got voda lg deal n going strong battery last fairly a day and theres always an option of larger battery pack for heavy usage or holidays
Good thing is it fills battery in approx an hour

Why waste your time with some overrated second-hand phone?? How do you know that the person who owned the phone previously did not have a dog who defecated on the screen -or maybe the owner themselves did this. And you are paying £300 for this?? Get real. Just watch that Priv price come down then get in there and own a phone with a physical keyboard, brand new and a guarantee that neither man nor dog has defecated on the screen.

Faulty loose home buttons!!

Oh come on, surely you don't believe that rubbish?

There's a reason why people no longer buy BlackBerry devices, there's a reason why Samsung, Nokia and the various other manufacturers that launched "BlackBerry Style" devices dropped them.

Generally, the public couldn't care less about a physical keyboard, had the multi-billion dollar companies' market research said otherwise, physical keyboards wouldn't have died out.

Don't get me wrong, the Priv looks a nice device, but it's too little, too late.

People are desperate to get the physical keyboard back. They did not die out- all companies like samsung and windows went to lick apples a$$ for some unapparent reason. That is why they do not exist anymore. As soon as that Priv comes down to £300, it will be mine. Also, the Priv IS an Android phone not a blackberry os. I would agree that blackberry os would not have survived- that's business. All the other blackberry phones suck- that I also agree with. Nothing come close to the Priv- it looks like a smart phone, has a slide out keyboard, is on Android and has that Blackberry themed security. It should be celebrated.

Not sure who the people are but I could not use a physical keyboard on a smartphone again. For one when it slides up like the priv it makes it top heavy and means it's a 2 handed job to type. That's what reviews say also. Not a phone I would consider even if it dropped to £100. Then again would not want an s6 either for same price.

oh yes! To be fair to argos I had no issues returning it.

I don't know of anyone desperate for the physical keyboard back?

Swype etc have made the physical keyboard redundant.

No- I have used it (not mine- I don't have one yet) and it is not top heavy at all. The guy who bought it showed it off and there was only one comment made "Wow- a real keyboard" and. That was all I heard from each people who handled it in the office.

Swipe is rubbish- had and removed it just like everyone else I know. Of the Priv, the keyboard is the only feature noted by everyone. Can't all be coincidental, can it??

Was the full comment "wow, a real keyboard, how 2005!"?

Swype is fantastic.

Swype was fantastic in 2008. You can't explain why only this comment was made by every person that saw it. I took one look at that keyboard and knew I had to have it. Why did no one say "wow, it's the latest version of android" or "wow, it blackberry security". Every person that saw it commented only on the keyboard- explain that.

Limited scope, but if your employer is an affiliate of Samsung you can get into their EPP (employee purchase) website. The S6 (Brand New) is about £300 delivered in there, with the edge about £30-40 more.

Only one specific to my company and then you need a unique access pin to get in, and then you need to provide an email address with an affiliate companies domain.

Rather not share for obvious reasons, however if you are eligible it will be in your company's intranet.
