Probably want to add the 30GB data part into the title otherwise people will think it's a bad deal. £30 for a S7 Edge is poor, but with 30GB data it's not bad at all (if you need the data - god knows what for).

What's a good price for a S7 edge contract? I'm thinking of getting one.

Looking at uSwitch this morning for a friend, coincidentally for an S7 Edge, the cheapest I could find there was £27 a month for 4gb of data, so this deal for 30gb of data is great, as the op has stated with his breakdown of the deal. It's £20 a month for the 30gb Essentials tariff, so you are paying £240 over the term for a pretty decent phone that is still selling for a lot more than that SIM-Free. Heat added from me.
Who uses 30gb a month though? I'm a pretty heavy user on WiFi, but you'd have to be on YouTube constantly to get through all that!
Same price on mobilephones direct as I was looking at it earlier. £30 quidco with them
When you factor in the cost of additional insurance, it's gonna creep up to £35-40 per month and that's pretty high for most.
I don't know how people can justify such a lavish expense.

I've been on giffgaff for years. I pay £10 a month, but I have to buy the handset separately. Naturally, I aim for a low-mid range price point. It would be nice to be able to get a top end phone for once though.

The most I can justify spending is about £25 per month all in. I can't see it happening.

It's not about the 30gb, not for me anyway, it's that 4gb might not be enough, and the charges for going over your allowance are high. So for a few quid more for peace of mind and having more than enough? All of which you can tether too! No brainer for me. And I don't have wifi at work available to me, so streaming music and the like, it's handy better being safe than sorry.

Insurance? My phone is covered in my home contents insurance, at no extra cost and is included away from home too. The excess, should I need to pay it for a mobile with my home insurance is way less than those quoted by the specialist tech insurance websites.
But it's different strokes and all that jazz If you are paying £10 on GG, am I right in assuming that you are on the 2gb plan? If so, with your budget, for a few quid more to get the 4gb which is suitable for you, you are getting something much better than low-mid range. But that's just my opinion.

It's for naughty little sausages downloading pictures of ladies in compromising situations.

Just like this user,
I don't need 30gb....2gb with £25 a month I am in.

Because people don't read it's got 30GB data and assume it should be nearer the £23-£25 mark for an S7 Edge.

Tbf, it's all about the 30GB and the poster should have put that in the title.

Are you saying you found a deal for £25? If so, who with?

No mate hadn't found a deal yet....
My note 4 is still going strong so not needed one urgently.....but if there is a deal at £25 a month I can convince myself
How about £20 a month and 2gb data. Now that would be a good deal. 7 years ago I was paying £20 a month for a top end phone with unlimited everything on t mobile. Now top end phones are at least 50% more than they were. Only wish my wages were.

This phone is already more than a year old.
Come November this year I would expect to see this around £21 a month...... Otherwise no point in paying £30 etc for a 15 month old model
Please note: You cannot tether on this SIM card and you also pay for every call to customer services. Check it out. It's a 3 network essential SIM card.

I'm not sure you can tether with this deal though... does anyone know?

At the time it was, but the advanced tariff isn't available for £30, if you want to tether, use the binge data, and have access to more countries free of charge, then you have to pay a little bit more.
