Probably due to it being a contract and with EE, plus Apple owners are tetchy at the moment.

You have got a good deal, I've voted Hot even though I don't enter into contracts.

Retention deals like this, while simply fantastic , are like hens teeth
My wife can't get anything close to this on an S7, let alone S8. Retentions haven't contacted her.
You are lucky to get a call from retentions and even luckier with that deal

I didn't get a call from them, I rang the normal 150 and they quoted something ridiculous like 57 a month. They then put me through to retentions. Today was the first day I could upgrade (45 days before contract ending) and I got this deal.

Mrs has tried that a number of times but no joy
    Well done you anyway
I wish I had a tenner for every S7 and S8 deal that was sub zero. I would have enough money for an exotic holiday lol.

got mine for 30.99 and no upfront fee. Best way to do it is call and give a 30 day notice, then wait for ee to call you up
Those who got this are lucky. I've been a customer for 20 years. (Since one2one) with 4 lines some years. I couldn't get anything like this from them.

you would have to call them and give them 30 days notice to cancel. Then wait for a phone call to ee. it took them 6 hours to call after I got off the phone
After the drama I've recently had with their customer services department I've kind of given up staying with EE.

Not had a call from them even though I requested my PAC code. 2 weeks ago. Called them only yesterday and tried to get them to come at least close to a £25/month deal with 3 mobile (s7 edge with unlimited msgs and texts plus 4gb data).

Have been utterly messed about and came away with nothing to show for it but a locked account so I could then not call them in future without going into store. A complete cock up their end which is likely too long to go into.

Actually passed an EE store today and figured I'd go in and try and sort it out. Lovely lass there got my account unlocked and called EE customer services for me. Told them my story of woe, got more apologies and passed to the "upgrades team". They then said they'd do me this great discounted deal of £27.99 for unlimited mins and texts plus 5gb internet. Almost took it off them until they then mentioned they'd discount the handset for me from £499 to £379. Nearly dropped the phone!

I told them I can get that deal from mobile phones direct with the handset free and was told "we can't match them as the handsets don't come from us". So they've kind of forced my hand really. Can't take the online deal with MPD as it means a right load of hassle moving number to another provider then back to EE.

I guess EE are selective on who they call back. They obviously don't want my repeat business. Been with em when it was just T Moble and then had Orange before that. Reckon I've been with em for easily 10 years now. Good if you can get such deals!

I did, they kept calling stupid times while I was in work, which is their policy I was told.
Try to ring them back and it says "EE tried to call you but don't worry we will call back" Which they never did and then I kept calling them, they said they couldn't put me through to that team and wait for a call. Which I never got.

The handsets do come from EE, they have EE firmware. And locked to EE.
My S6 from Mobile Phones Direct had an EE sticker on the box.

I even quoted the deals on here and I was told by management it must have been through a third party.
I went with a third party in the end and got the S8+, must say I'm very impressed with it.
