Hi all,

First deal I've posted on here but I've been looking for an S8 deal the past couple of weeks and Mobiles.co.uk have just added on Free VR on the £791.76 deal.

Looking at the best upfront secure seller cost from samsung £533 (with a trade in phone), this deal is 791.76 -£35 cashback making it £756.76, minus the phone "current" cost £533 makes it £233.76, divide that by the contract length 24 makes the contract for 5gb data with EE £9.32 which is by far the best deal I've seen and nothing buying the phone out right and then finding a contract would come close to.

Edit: this does have an upfront cost of £120 if that has any affect on anyone. Overall cost for 2 years is still very good imo.

In the comments it has been mentioned Three as well as others have better data/deals. This is the best EE deal I've been able to find with 5gb which it ample to my requirements.

further edit:

Phone cost - £533 through Samsung (If you trade in a phone)
Total contract cost = (£27.99*24)+£120 = £791.76
Cashback = £35, therefore total contract cost = £791.76 - £35 = £756.76
Sim card cost = Total contract cost - phone cost = (£756.76 - £533)/24 = £233.76/24 = £9.32 p/m

Hi. Thanks for the feedback (I think) haha. Yes there are some better deals I've noticed on o2, Three and Vodafone but the coverage by everyone other than EE is significantly worse. 5gb is a good amount of data for those who use wi-fi like myself at home/work and EE being the provider means it'll be pretty fast. I'm currently with o2 which I would put above Three's network and the amount of time it takes to load a web page in certain places, usually results in my giving up.

I did mention the £533 price is a trade in deal from Samsung but obviously with the phone being samsung I can see where that is confusing also.

In terms of an EE deal with Free VR. This is by far the best around. The deal mentioned was the only one with out free VR which drove the price up of this deal but now they've added free VR, it's the best I've seen.

I reworked my comment, I realised editing it would take too long :D, the deal seems far better if you neglect the trade in price and just call the phone price £669

Also £120 upfront cost.

Sorry. I will amend description. I've been looking at the overall cost of the phone as it doesn't affect me paying for the phone outright or having no upfront cost. To me the main thing is knowing the overall cost paid for the phone + monthly contract to determine if it was a good deal.

I was just trying to post a good deal. Not a heat monkey haha

Just a heads up for next time @DragonJack , the title should be something like this:
£120 upfront + £27.99p/m (£791.76 total), hopefully see another post from you soon

Tried and failed haha. Thought this was a well good deal and a deal I've been holding out for. I'll throw in the towel :P. Thanks for the pointers though.

Seemed quite a good deal to me even though a use a lot more data it's good for most people I guess?

Exactly that. People on wi-fi mostly should have more than enough with 5gb and EE is the best provider around

Think it's a good deal personally, heat given. If you can find a similarly priced deal for a note 8 or pixel 2 xl, I'll be your friend for life haha.

haha I'll keep an eye out. I've been waiting for this to be included for free VR for two weeks. During that time I've not been able to find better so based on that I think it's the best EE deal around
