Samsung galaxy S8 from Amazon Italy 499 Euros

Found 22nd Dec 2017
Depending on your card, around £442. I bought one a few months ago from Amazon Italy for my lovely lady and paid around £480 after conversion. It arrived in 3 days and is an amazing phone, considering one for me now... Or wait for the s9...?

I tried purchasing an S8+ from Amazon Italy last month and the day it was meant to arrive (December 6th) the tracking changed to "delayed due to external circumstances." I had to send at least 10 emails to their incompetent customer service before finally getting a refund after they admitted it was likely stolen. God knows why people say their customer service is good when half of the lot don't even speak or understand English properly. Buy at your own risk folks, it certainly wasn't worth it for me (and quite a few others) and I won't be using Amazon for the foreseeable future. Terrible experience.

Well you should have learnt Italian if you wanted to order from Amazon Italy. It is not their responsibility to learn English and they do their best.

If you are ever ordering things from other non english speaking countries, appreciate they cant speak english and use a google translator

Link send me to 545 euros..you need to click under the item for new an used prices and second one is new for 499euros.
2 years warranty too
499 euros is outstanding. I've just signed up for the 27.99 EE deal from a few days ago or this would be amazing.
Got my first Samsung the S8 3 weeks ago and loving it ..heat for the price
gift cards are accepted as part of payment.
All i need now is the price to drop to £400
I would never normally be tempted by any kind of flagship but this post offers me hope it will be worthwhile in a couple of years.
Remember to pay with your credit card regardless of fees but for purchase protection. Many people received empty boxes, including myself.

I'm talking about Amazon in general. Their UK branch is hardly better. Again, last month I spent nearly an hour on the phone with someone to try and cancel an order. Put me on hold three times after going around in circles and eventually told me she couldn't cancel it because it was about to be handed to the carrier. They really are atrocious no matter which branch you try and talk to.

You'd have to have the video started from the moment you open the door to receive the parcel from courier.

These phones are sent on 'flap tucked in' boxes, pull one flap out and you're in. After picking up my box from neighbour I knew straight away that something is wrong with it. Recorded unboxing video but thought what's the point? You could as well pulled it out, put it back in and do the video.

Luckily amazon just sent another one out. No questions asked. I believe they have checked tracking and noticed that package weight dropped at some stage. Can't think of anything else?

Not voting either way - as the previous deal around £470 was better based on getting some samsung cashback (£40-£120) on top.

This one won't arrive til mid jan (even though its cheaper) hence not eligible for the cashback offer.

amazon.it/gp/…new
I think this gets asked a lot in these threads, but what does it mean for you if the phone has an issue, you can claim on the warrenty but does it have to go back to Italy?

You can deal with Samsung UK or amazon Italy. I have always gone back to amazon Italy - personal preference.

I've returned a few handsets due to various reasons and currently replacing one s8+ for another (already got replacement at home from amazon Italy). I can't see language as the barrier - Google translate is very capable of handling whole chat conversation.

What problem did you have with the S8? I've seen a few reports of black pixel clusters near the edge of the screen...

Not exactly 100% what was wrong with but couldn't get pebble to work with it flawlessly - whenever watch was connected it resulted with phone restart to the extent of not booting up at all. Weird but because amazon offers replacement option I have gone for it and replaced my current s8+.

No screen issues.

One issue with this phone it has slow down dramatically... Eagerly waiting for oreo update or eventually will send this one back and get s9.

Mmm, interesting. I'm honestly not sure which phone to go for at the moment. My Note 4 is still working fine so I'm thinking about waiting to get a Note 8 second hand at a decent price in a year's time...
