Does anyone know whether you would have to pay import VAT on goods from eglobal? If you have to add extra 20% on top of the listed price then you can defo get it cheaper elsewhere.

"17. Import, VAT & Customs

17.1 To simplify the process of buying internationally, eglobal central choose to handle the process of custom clearance for customers. By purchasing products through eglobal central, you authorise eglobal central to make arrangements for clearance of customs on your behalf for the products in your order. As importing products from overseas can be a hassle for most of our customers, we organise this process for you. We then provide you with fast local shipping to deliver the goods to your door. As a result, prices shown on this website are the final total you have to pay to have the order delivered to your door, without any hidden charges and customs delay.
17.2 After 3 month of receiving the goods and clearing customs, eGlobal Central will not be held responsible for any custom related fees."
From eglobal t&c here
My G6 arrived fine, in six days. DPD delivered as well. No import charges for me.

Anyone know if this is an EU model?
Samsung won't honour warranty with devices from UAE, Hong Kong, etc.
Is it duel active or duel standby sims?

Just common sense prevailing I think, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't
PS Bought several 200 plus phones from them, no import duties etc, no problems. Well over three months now! UK model etc (always the same questions)
When I see stuff advertised here, I often compare it with Eglobal, where it usually is cheaper but no point in advertising it here as the doubters will immediately try and vote it cold

Thanks,

it wasn't that, I hadn't realised it was automatically selecting insured delivery. Which has an additional charge.
It is dual sim active....
heck of a lot of cash to risk if you ask me....
So to be clear, there's no warrant y on this, right?
Warranty???

Its definitely gonna be non EU Spec.
So no warranty with Samsung but will be honoured by the retailer.
For me, it is coming up as £505.99.
'FEAST' is taking £10 off the total to make it £495.99.
Am I missing something?

Where is the extra £11 coming off?
I removed the expensive shipping option so its not this.

I rather pay 535£ 24 months with 0% interest directly. And trade in a 20£iphone 4 from ebay

Mmmm buy flight to Hong Kong (for the repair) or chuck in the bin?
Which will be cheaper - definitely a toss up
How would the warranty work on this?

There is no fighting involved so no duel to fight.

Your first port of call with any warranty issue is with the seller, they will then take it up with the relevant Samsung service centre for the area that it was supplied from. This is not to say that you will get satisfaction from Samsung as they have several carefully worded responses that enable them to void the warranty, such as water ingress, unauthorised removal of a part.
Having said that I have never had a problem with a Samsung phone or smart watch.

Dual standby according to the specification list.

I've bought from eglobal before, had no issues.

But it is usually NOT UK stock. The FD model / dual sim model is not a UK SKU and most likely Samsung will not cover it in the UK warranty procedures.
Noone has actually explained how to get the handset for the price listed.
It should be listed at £495.99 as the £10 discount code 'FEAST' off of a stock price of £505.99 does not equal £484.99.

Maybe it included the 2% quidco cashback?
I can confirm that no Samsung warranty will apply to this and you will need to speak to the suppliers to resolve if you have a problem. i know this as I deal with chargeback claims were many people have fallen victim to this and Samsung have told them to go away. i personally think its not worth the risk, but on the other hand you do get it cheaper buying from abroad

Is there not a rule that cashback amounts are not guaranteed and should not be included in the price stated on HUKD threads? Even the OP says 'possible 2% quidco'.

2% of 495.99 is £9.91, taking the total to £486.08 in any case.
Got my S8+ from here. Great saving.

Trustpilot worth a read before placing an order!!

Can anyone advise whether its best to use Paypal or A credit card if people are considering using this company? There appears to be a high chance that you'll need some form of consumer protection provided by either mechanism.

For what it's worth, one of my phones developed a defect after I purchased from eglobal. It was an LG phone and it was not UK stock (I believe it was TW stock). Eglobal provided an UK address for me to post the phone back. It took a long time (about a month), as I presume they had to ship it back to Asia to get it serviced, but eventually I got my repaired phone back. Throughout the process they have a web ticket tracker where you can inquire them about the repair status and they usually responded within a day.

So there is a vendor warranty, but be prepared for it to take a long time if a fault does develop, but I cannot fault them as they delivered what they promised in the end. The only cost I had to pay was the postage cost to the UK address.

The seller is in Hong Kong.
Samsung UK won't entertain a warranty claim on a non-European model.
Might as well buy a Xiaomi or something.
For 20£ more you can buy it from amazon.it?

It's the single SIM version from Amazon.it unlike this one, which is dual SIM
I have taken the plunge, wanted a dual sim and an S8. It's annoying they don't do dual sim in uk versions but guessing carriers blocked that one.
