So what would the potential risks be of buying from this seller? Thanks

Not the seller issue but manufacturer - Shamesung.

Depending where the phone came from. A phone acquired on "contract" could then be sold.
But if they defaulted on the contract the supplying network are within their rights to block the phone from all UK networks.

Network never blocks handsets, thats a myth. They just sells debt do collection agency and thats it; customer screws credit score for long time.
But phone can be barred, when previous owner reports it lost/stolen and claims on insurance.

Possibility of it being a grey import. Able to sell cheap due to avoiding VAT . Watch tonight’s Panorama on iPlayer and see how it’s done !

i recently bought the s8 from amazon and had it only 4 days and noticed that the rear camera went blurry. googled it and it seems if you tap the top of the phone it re focuses.

amazon have sent me a crappy email stating that ever phone they send out the imei is logged and that they also register the device on checkmend to prevent fraud. this is not a problem for me as its the phone that i got but they said that to process a replacement of refund can take upto 3 weeks while it is checked.

anyway had this kind of problem, i thougth with amazon it should be pretty easy.

Yes it is. But all of them were reported lost/stolen so been blocked. My uncle works for Vodafone CS and not a single phone was blocked by network for failed payments on contract.

My comment was that they are perfectly within their rights.....Vodafone is only one provider.

And to sort this out with Samsung is pain in the *** They finds hundreds of excuses not to fix it..been there and know very well. Love Apple here; they replace phone with no questions asked.
