Best colour imo. Toby deals based in China?

Yes a HK/Chinese seller - research before buying

I got mine from amazon Germany was a tad mode admitidly (£23 ) might be worth keeping an eye out if you don't fancy all the hastle with the Chinese route .what a great phone

Just wondering , if you installed the free Kapersky anti virus (posted yesterday ) would it remove the Chinese spyware that is hard installed in many phones sold from China ? Or is there a Russia / Chinese non aggression pact ? Entente Cordial ?

I have been seeing this deal come up for a while but seller scares me

If anyone is interested, beware that's this is for the dual sim phone

A two minute drive from eglobal in Hong Kong.

If this was a uk seller i would fly all over with excitement

Anyone got any hands on experience with the S8 battery life? I personally prefer the S8 to the S8 Plus, as it's a little too large for my dainty hands. But I read a few reviews that said the battery life was disappointing compared to the Plus model, which is a shame. I'm rocking an S6 Edge Plus at the moment with a recently installed 3000mah battery, and even though the battery is new, it's not up to a full day's solid labour, unless heavily gimped. Samsung phones are my favourite, but they don't suit power users like myself who require a fairly hands on 12 hour day. Any experience would be appreciated.

PS. I would also note that reviews for the S6 Edge Plus battery life were fairly good at the time I bought mine, saying it was a solid 12 hour battery life. I would say maybe with light to moderate use, but you're only going to get 3 hours screen time unless fully gimped.

Great phone technically, except for how fragile it is. I dropped mine from 2ft, whilst it was in a Samsung case. Unfortunately no protection from the case even though it has a flip cover. This is the first screen I've ever broken.

This is why I'm still rocking my Note 4 with it's 10000mah battery replacement
Granted, it makes the phone a brick and everyone who sees it is always quick to ridicule but I always get the last laugh.
Not only would it last an entire 12 hour day but it can do so with the screen on the entire time

On the topic of the S8 though there are some decent looking battery cases available. Maybe worth checking out?

Great price but really hesistant to buy from Tobydeals. Any chance Currys PC World, John Lewis etc would price match

Here's my experience as someone who's owned the U11, OP3T, iPhone 7, S7 Edge, Nokia 5.

It totally depends what you're doing of course but on all my devices I run 50-70% brightness, bluetooth is always on (fitbit), location set to high accuracy, no power saving modes. Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Internet Browsing, Youtube, Spotify are my main uses. I don't game. Times below are when using 4g. Wifi is a convenience so I rarely compare Wifi times.

1st OP3T (40 hours standby/ 6 hours SOT)
2nd U11 (30+ hours standby/ 5 hours SOT)
3rd Nokia 5 (30+ hours standby/ 5 hours SOT)
4th S7 Edge (24 hours standby/ 4.5 hours SOT)
5th S8 (24 hours standby/ 4 hours SOT)
6th iPhone 7 (No SOT times but wouldn't last more than 20 hours)

Both Samsung phones seem to have suffered from updates that made battery life worse and enabling VoLTE increased Android System drain. There is a huge thread about it on the S7 and S8 forums on XDA. VoLTE drain hasn't affected any of the Snapdragon devices I've had. On Wifi I can hit around 6 hours SOT on the S8 with around 25 hours standby.

Thank you for this. I'm going to do a test to see how long I get with my S6 Plus with similar settings. My guess would be around 3.5 hours SOT considering it's got a smaller battery than the S7 Edge. Although 4hrs SOT on the S8 is pretty poor for todays standards. Not much difference between that and my S6 Edge Plus. I might hang on for a bit, wait to see if the S9 is any better on battery life. I'm really tired of turning off all the stuff that makes my phone a premium device. It's not so much that I mind the lower settings, but the constant micro-managing is a ball-ache

One of the reasons why I've gone for a U11+ is because it's a flagship with a fat battery (4000 mAh) combined with HTC's lightweight skin and the Snapdragon 835 being really cool. I've noticed that my S8 definitely gets hotter than my U11 despite their charging times being very similar.

Yeah 4 hours is not great really but to be honest, most of what gets posted online is usually battery life with someone sitting on WIFI all day, which doesn't tell you much if you happen to have a 1 or 2 hour commute to work, constantly switching signal masts with 3g/4g signal going up and down depending on where you are etc.

What I will say though is that one persons battery life is still really a hard measure as to whether or not yours will be good. It only takes you a brief search on Reddit to find guys with 7-8 hours SOT. Just so many factors to go by.

Yes mate, UK plug also, they put a EU adapter in but obviously didn't need it, dual sim too. Works fine

Hi. Could you give me a link I can’t find it. Thanks in adva

As long as people are aware that these are dual sim phones

Left my home and picked up my S8 from a wireless charger fully charged 100% at 8.00am
its 17.57 and i have 80% of battery life with fair usage

Used at lunch and checked messages at work etc took few pics . Listend to some music etc
totally satified with mine
ordered it from Ebay = Eu version
