The dam phone has not even been unveiled yet, you don't even know what you putting the deposit on, the phone could be a brick with a light on it, and you will still put a deposit on it like a mindless sheep. Do you really need to upgrade your phone every year? It has a slightly better screen and camera, do you really use the camera on your current phone that often? These companies must love people who put a deposit on aproduct that they not even shown yet.
This is up there with one of the coldest or pointless submissions ever, surely?

Deposit means you get it back innit 👌
You pay the £25 deposit and Carphone match it with a further £25 towards the S9 so when you pre-order you are getting £50 off your handset or upfront cost.

I mean, let's be honest though. You're not exactly going to be putting a deposit on "a brick with a light on it" - I can 100% hands down, bet some money on it. Like hands down, Carphone Warehouse just wouldn't sell a brick with a light on it. What a stupid and idiotic comment to make.

Stop judging folk and focus on yourself, there are far bigger issues to focus on. And just to outline, yes. I do feel the need to upgrade my already perfectly capable phone this year. Infact I'm probably going to get one a year into the contract I signed for my S8 phone.

Tbh, all the info about the Galaxy S9 & S9+ has already leaked. Pretty much everything except the UK price. If you want to get back to your feature phone, I'm sure everyone else will appreciate it.

Yep, thats the offer, they will match off your £25. If you don't want the phone when it's released you get your £25 back. If you do, well then you get a further £25 towards it.

That's it - that's the Samsung Galaxy S finally, officially, as 'sheep-bought' as iPhone.

What a sad day.

Guessing you're trolling, badly, and not simply that dim.
surprisingly this is not a bad deal, you put £25 and they will double it, so you get in total £50 off the upfront cost off a contract at time of purchase:

*This offer is open to customers in store who register to receive a call to pre-order the new Samsung device and who pay a £25 deposit. All depositing customers will have their £25 deposit matched by Carphone Warehouse to bring their total deposit amount to £50. Customers must register before the start of the pre-order to be eligible for the £25 incentive towards their pre-order. The £50 total deposit can be used to offset any upfront costs and additional products when purchasing the new Samsung device only. Customers will have 4 weeks from start of Pre-Order period to redeem their £25 incentive after which the incentive offer will be withdrawn and the deposit amount reduced back to £25. Customers who do not wish to use the total deposit against the pre-order will only have the original £25 deposit returned. Refunds can only be made via the payment method used when registering.
