£31 deal is 36 month contract

Exactly, I spent a few hours last night dissecting the offer, including the sky one but it seems the CPW or buying device outright is the best option so far

Thanks for posting and welcome to HUKD @winter_zombie , I have added the total cost and merchant details to the thread
Is it £739 sim free???..... No need for a contract
36 month contract? Ouch!

Or somebody who knows that Samsung phones are waaay overpriced and slow terribly with updates (after three years this phone could be torture) and there are other far more cost effective Android options...
It would be cheaper and easier to buy the phone sim free. Nowadays most people have SIM only deals where it's a rolling month contract

1GB of data is pretty pointless on a phone like this, mean you could say you don't use it but then why get a premium phone like that.

3 year contract is fine if it's cheap enough after the phone cost, you can change to any phone anyway

the phone has a retail cost of almost £800. so their has to be some give and take . and like i said in my original post, you can pay a few pound more and get more date/mins/texts but this has zero upfront cost. and they are also offering upto £400 trade in on the virgin media site.

not everybody has £600-800 to buy the phone out right. £800 is a months wagers for most people me included !
and ive never met anybody who buys a flag ship phone outright from day one.

And this is a year longer than those.

I fully understand not everybody is going to have spare cash for a phone but for me personally I buy my phone outright because it's cheaper and I'm not tired down to any contracts or commitments if I change my mind or choose to sell it I can.

LOL, you couldn't be more wrong. Never had an iPhone.
So 1. three years is a bit of s commitment and 2. Only 1GB... can't imagine there are too many people who'd buy the latest smartphone and only use 1GB a month. I'm a fairly light user and I easily get through 3GB a month

Or half again as long is another way of putting it.
I thought OFCOM made 3 year contracts illegal? VM found a loophole

telegraph.co.uk/bus…ts/
3 years with rubbish data. Nope.
This is the worst contract you could have published here.
Terrible deal. 36 months with a tiny data limit
This is a terrible deal
I just posted this on another deal maybe some help to some!!
Don't know if this is any help to anyone but if you have an old phone to trade in (rather than leaving it in that draw till it no longer turns on like none of us have ever done before!!!) then the S9 is available from £19.99 a month with £53.30 up front, this is handset only so then add to that (just as an example as this would be all i personally would need) £8 pm for ultd calls and tx plus 3gb 4g data gives a total of £27.99 pm plus your £53.30 up front total over 24 months would be £725.06

Where is this deal please?

Sorry forgot to put this is direct with Samsung, sign up to there upgrade programe with 0% interest over 24 months, you have the option after 12 months to upgrade to the next galaxy s handset, they take your s9 back and pay off your balance and you start again or you just keep it the 24 months
I really wish that the people who don't do the sums for the long term cost and just think "I can afford X per month" would just pee off and die.
