Sorry how?
Sign up for the Amazon Mastercard?
Hi thinking of purchasing, if it develops a fault etc, will amazon UK assist?
Samsung UK warranty?
Thank you

So is this direct from Amazon , or a third party seller?
Also what happens if it gets any problems , who do you contact?

The slightly cheaper prices above are for those who pay in Euros with a 0% fee card that uses Mastercard exchange rates. The other prices are for everyone else that pay in pounds using Amazon exchange rates.

This is sold by Amazon and the EU versions of this phone can get warranty support from Samsung UK. I believe you also have Amazon Spain as an option for warranty but I'm not sure about this.

I get that this sim free price is very good. But consider some of the deals posted recently for the S9

@goonertillidie & @edwardgowlett have both posted cracking deals.

Both are UK dealers so no hassles about returns and getting repairs done under Samsung UK warranty.

Plus consider that you will have to get a sim for this phone on a tariff of your choice (or use existing one)

£792 for @goonertillidie deal less the £513 for this deal and you pay £280 for the tariff over 24m = £11.66pm. You'd be hard pushed to find a 30gb tariff for that kind of money

Similarly do the calc on the other deal & you pay £6.20pm (albeit lot less data)

Maybe this deal isn't as good as it looks? So just do your research before diving in.

The UK purchases will give you 14 days return policy (Law for online purchases)

You forgot 2 key things here:

1. Every phone you get from anywhere in EU from Amazon come with full 2 years UK warranty and support from Amazon.

2. Other deals have to go through credit checks so mNy wont prefer it.

This is a great price and no hassle et all.

Here are just a few things:

Fingerprint sensor rarely works even after re-registering fingers many times.

Apps crash fairly regularly.

Poor performance in bright sunlight. My old Sony Z3 was as good, if not better.

Battery isn't great. With normal use expect about a day out of this.

Touchscreen isn't as responsive as many other phones I've used.

There are occasional screen glitches. Random frame jumps on the screen.

So quite a few reasons why I'm not impressed with this phone.
Be careful when ordering from amazon.es - I ordered the Motorola G6+ recently and I received it in one of those large envelopes that can be easily opened & closed again. Guess what - the phone box was inside, but someone removed the phone. It was hard work to get the money back from amazon, while someone in one of their distribution centres (in Spain, France, or UK) is enjoying the phone I purchased!
I've just got an S9 and it's a great phone. I knew the battery life wouldn't be great but I'm used to that. What's the hassle in giving your phone a little charge during the day when it's got quick charge?

This case is very good and makes it easier to find the fingerprint sensor

Fingerprint sensor works on mine, first time every time.

Not had an app crash yet.

I don't have any issue using it in bright sunlight.

Battery life is fine. It lasts a day that's all I need.

I will agree with you about the touchscreen, although I have a feeling it may be the screen protector I'm using.

Not experienced any screen glitches.

All in all I'm very happy.

I cant tell if your being serious or not really ? S9 has the brightest screen on any phone turn off auto brightness or turn it up. My finger print reader has never failed to read my print on any samsung since galaxy s6 unless i have wet or creamed hand ect. Apps crashing i have had that only a few times since release day that happens on all phones and its the app normally not the phone. The touch screen response is perfect and never glitches so you either have a faulty handset or your a donut

I switched from the S8 to the S9+. Most things are the same, but Samsung made small improvements that make the phone even better. Dual camera with 2x optical zoom is great - that's the main improvement. The audio quality on the S9+ is amazing as it's got two speakers now. So loud! Also, the launcher can finally be used in landscape mode.

Yeah sure. I thought s8 plus was too big hence why i upgraded.

S9 pros for me
Better screen. Nicer and softer than s8 plus.
Slighty Faster.
Much better speakers.
Fingerprint sensor that actually works and is much faster.
Easier to hold and use due to being smaller.

Cons
Battery doesnt last as long.

Edit. I only upgraded as i had the opportunity to do it cheap. Looking at the price of a used s8 is a joke how much money its lost. So only upgrade if it isnt going to cost you much.

Maybe you just got a faulty phone because none of this applies to my S9+.. Sure battery could be a little better but I've come from Apple and compared to Apple, any battery is better. I don't even need the fingerprint scanner because the iris scanner works amazingly well!

Ps. There is an option in settings to adjust the touch response, make it more sensitive, usually used when a screen protector is applied, look into it, one less issue for you if it works

Have had an S9 for 2 months and had none of these issues whatsoever.
The only problem was the widespread issue of dropping sound for several seconds during calls which has been sorted by the latest software update.

Incorrect on point one. The S9 does not have the brightest screen of any phone. It's about 600 nits. There are handsets capable of 1000 nits, and my previous phone a Sony Z3 had about 540 nits brightness.

The touchscreen is flaky, so maybe this is a faulty handset.

I rarely if ever had an app crash on my previous phone. Even Chrome crashes on this phone.

I bought an s8 six months ago (coming from iPhone 6s) and sent it back within two days, hated it.

It was just simple things that don’t work or run as smoothly as they do on iOS. Little things like the letter ‘I’ not auto capitalising and lots of petty little things like that. Most people wouldn’t be as fussy probably! Tried downloading different keyboards etc but they didn’t solve it.

I dont need a 1000 nits screen to look at all the time. I am quite happy with even a 600nits screen as long as it shows videos great and is visble in the sun. And if you dont know S9 screen is the best screen in the market hand down.

Flaky touchscreen is a hardware fault so may be worth a visit to the service center.

And with Chrome crashes, never happened on mine so may be a app data clean and reinstall.
A few years ago I bought a htc one from Amazon Italy and Warranty wise Amazon sorted it issues with me.
Can't see the price in the OP any more, has this deal expired?
I am trying to order one sold by Amazon but can't seem to find at the price. Please can someone help?

I think this was aimed at me but you replied to wrong person, anyway i read before that s9 is 1130 nits but i just found out it is 600 on real tests. You were moaning about screen brightness in sun but its brighter than your old z3 and theres not any decent phones with a considerably brighter screen and your the only one here with issues you have a faulty device call samsung tech support. My first s9 had faulty touch screen but samsung swapped it straight away, try this test samsung got me to do. Type *#0*# on your keypad then click on touch test, then try follow the pattern on screen without removing your finger if any boxes stay white your screen is faulty

Thats cos you are used to an iphone. Nothing to do with s8 being a bad phone. An s8 would be way way better than an iphone 6s. Starting with fast charging, better screen, double the battery, much faster, much nicer and not restricted like apple phones are. I think you just maybe didnt give it a chance. Does take few days to get used to it
