What can you expect.

I am confused by your comment, you say that after a couple of months the battery starts to wear out, S9 was released in the UK on 11th March 2018, how do you know beforehand how the battery will behave in a few months time (unless you can predict the future, or as usual hearsay of what others say / have posted), I always would try it myself before commenting. I got it in the 1st week of release, 4 weeks on, no issues at all..

This was already posted I think, couple of weeks back
Upfront was £190 last time, so this is cheaper and no risk of losing cashback by using vouchers , have some heat !
Good deal, although I got 16GB for the same price through Vodafone retention's team!
No deals on the S9+ coz Samsung knows everybody is gonna go after the better spec phone and not this one with terrible battery

Just checked and called them as well, and they confirmed I have 16GB allowance for the entire duration of the contract, i.e. 24 months.

You do know that the battery is the same in S8 as in S9? If not, thats what it is. So if something was true for S8 that will be true for S9 as well.

If you need more clarity, read battery reviews of S8 and S9 in Google or Youtube and you will know.

Yes I do know that the battery is the same in S9 to what it was in S8. But that doesn't mean a thing! Technology is advancing and unless you have a breakdown of like-for-like comparison of power / current drawn by each and every component within S8 and S9, it means nothing that S9 battery is same as S8.

Regarding reading reviews; one for you from technical website;

What’s interesting here is that Samsung has clearly optimized things, as when we ran our standard video test (90 minutes of a Full HD video at maximum brightness) the Galaxy S9 only lost 17% of its battery.
That’s not the best we’ve seen on test (for comparison, the iPhone X lost just 10% using the same screen technology as Samsung), but it’s a marked improvement over the 23% the S8 lost last year… and the S9 has a brighter screen.
The overnight test result was pretty standard – the battery lost 5% in an eight-hour period, which is bang-on average for a modern smartphone.

Well, I guess you got to be happy with your purchase and I hope it works out well for you

The review that you stated does not say anything bout battery life. Its the optimisation and the new processor which brings in efficiencies in the utilisation of power. The battery is still the same and will deteriorate the same way as S8 did. So in a years time the S9 will also have the same outcome as the S8. In addition to that the S9+ is a superior phone and people will be inclined towards that for the better camera, better RAM and better battery life.

As I said 4 weeks on, no issues at all with the battery. All I was trying to state is from a Technical point of view it doesn't matter that the battery is the same on S9 (as to what it was on S8), it depends on the components / electronics within the phone that consumes power and unless you can do a like-for-like comparison between the phone, it would be naive to say that just because S8 had an issue after "X" months, S9 will as well.
Got the S9 on release day upgrading from the S7 edge. Happy with the phone but the battery is not faring any better than the 2 year old S7. Easily lasts a whole day moderate use though so I wouldn't avoid because of the battery...

I did wonder but the terms didn't mention it...have ordered using the code and it's tracked ok but at £25 for now. That might go up or just go away completely if the code invalidates it. Pray for me

This could be their excuse to say, that as the transaction was not wholly completed online, then cash back will not be paid. I may be wrong though.

Hey got it sorted... I moved home recently and updated everywhere except my vodofone network... so had to change the address to sort my credit check and it worked fine.. getting the phone tmw!
Heat added good deal. Not for me though as I have very poor VODAFONE reception at my office
Surprised that this deal is getting any heat after the CPW one that's just passed

Woah this is wrong.
The S8 and S9 use a limited battery and retain a large amount of capacity after loads of cycles.androidpolice.com/201…7s/
Except for the camera, what are your reasons to spend so much on a mobile phone ?
Please stop posting these offers, I bought a S9 under a far less attractive offer 2 weeks ago and have serious deal envy

The s9+ is impractical for daily use for a lot of people, it could be half the price of a standard s9 and I still wouldn't have one because they're just just far too big. I have a standard s9 and actually still find that a too big I'd like to see a s9 mini of sorts but with all the specs

Trump wants his hands back.
I can about use an s9+ with one hand/thumb... I have a large hand span though! It is lengthy for sure, but it's a non issue. Unless you have only one hand, and it's a small hand....
is this a better deal than buying the s9 for £475 total (as detailed in other now expired CPW deal)?

cheapest sim only on 4gb is £8, which over 2 years is £192.
Therefore total is £668, which is only £59 cheaper, and but requires a huge initial outlay.

Think this deal here could be better!
