Considering some of the prices I've been seeing for s8 recently this seems like a steal at this price.

Yes I know it's from Toby deals bla bla but this really does seem like a good deal and most seem to have no problem. Hopefully helps someone.

NON EU DEVICE WARRANTY NOT COVERED IN EU BEAWARE if something goes wrong you call Samsung they will advise we can help due to non eu device
Warranty this warranty that, who has actually ever needed to invoke it?!

Like the above you can insure with most bank accounts

Yeah man what’s difference? What’s the EU model number?
Is this a legit phone or a copy?
Do you get import charges with Toby?
I think you lose the micro SD expansion capability by having two sims, so 64GB might be a tad small for some people, nice phone though
In the dual SIM model the SIM tray has a micro SIMslot and an SD card slot. The SD card slot can be used to hols a second SIM card ifwsnt. So dual SIM functioning comes at the cost of the SD card. But if you don't need dual SIM then you can still expand the storage.
Hybrid/Dual SIM = SIM1 + SIM2/microSD
Single SIM = SIM1 + microSD

Lot of people don't understand the difference, if they would why would any buy Single SIM version from Samsung when dual SIM version with additional feature of having another SIM on top of all the features of single SIM is sold for same price.
The one thing that puts me off sites like TB is the warranty/returns process. From what I understand the Samsung "global" warranty only allows repairs to be made in the country of purchase. Items from HK are very unlikely to be EU models and so a Samsung UK repair centre won't touch it. TD terms and conditions state they have a "manufactuerer equivalent" 12 month warranty. Not only is this half the period of the Samsung warranty but presumably you'll be waiting a long time for a repair that needs sending to HK and back.

Great price, yes, but combined with possible import charges and a warranty that hardly offers peace of mind I personally wouldn't make this gamble.
Does anyone know if this is unlocked SIM free version?
This a S8 (as description) or S9 as title?

Does anyone know if this is unlocked SIM free version?

What do you reckon it would be locked to then?
Non EU phone means no warranty in the UK - not worth the gamble IMO
Great price but no warranty for a £500 phone makes me scared
Brought the 128gb plus version not worried about warranty have phone insurance with my bank

Think u should check if they will cover u. I highly doubt it. Otherwise people would just by everything from abroad and then claim a new device, uk model, through insurance

@x80ssm it does cover it already checked all you need is the model number and imei 🏾 number

The chances are when you might need the warranty, it won't be there for you. Sorry but for such an expensive item like this, I'd rather pay extra and have peace of mind.

Yep i ordered two phone and a hand held gimble. The only thing i found annoying was their tracking updates...the package will get delivered to your house and they would say they are still packaging it on their warehouse. I never faced any import charges with them.
You can get them for 500£ on marketplace:) why risk buying from Toby?

You can super glue the 2nd sim onto the microsd card to have all 3 working. Check youtube.

Exactly! I had that problem before, Samsung over here told me I would have to go to Brazil where the warranty it valid lol!
@mistikempire everyone knows it won't be supported in the eu so don't understand what point your trying to make! It's up to people if they want to take be gamble I've always used Samsung's since the s1 never had an issue.

When do Samsung honour their warranty?
My son had an S6 , which is a sealed unit.
The back fell off and cracked.
Samsung said "physical damage not covered".
I said, "the unit is sealed, the back cover should not fall off and i it does it will crack".
Ultimately, I filed a claim in the small claims court against Samsung.
I got satsfaction out of court!

Another one, the phone bent, like an iphone.
Samsung response, "phyiscal damage, not covered."
Again, litigation.

Samsung, in my view are useless and poorly designed products that easily break.
