I am nobody to talk considering half of my posts have gone cold today, but 3 years is a long time to keep a phone contract, in my humble opinion.

3 years, unreal.
When i get a phone i want it to last a while. These are high spec phones and should be good for at least 4years. Go sim only after contract. What more could you possibly need in a phone.
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no............no no no!
Voted cold because of the contract length, you dont even get unlimited minutes and the S10 be out soon anyway!
Surely would include 3 years warranty aswell.

May as well get an iPhone at that prive
I was going to disagree, then agree, then disagree but this deal really is swings and roundabouts.

A normal two year deal with a £200 upfront only costs you 957 over a two year deal @ £32/month or so. You get far greater amounts of data (16GB) and unlim. calls and texts.

It works out far better to simply go for a two year deal and pay the up front.

NOW before you strangle me, it is the cheapest WITHOUT A UPFRONT COST.

Even with the whole swings and roundabouts, it's works out far far better to get a two year deal with some upfront OR just wait.

Cold from me and three years on this, let's just say you need to reevaluate your metal health.
i think someone needs to say this as alot of people will get caught out 3 year phone ontracts are illegal and not allowed and ofcom have had this rule since 2011 i think. the way virgin are get around this is contract is devided into 2 so phone part one and sim part 2 but from what i see is the sim is on a 30 day rolling bundle until cancelled but the phone is 36 months. this is how virgin media have got around the ban.

here is more info from november 2017 finder.com/uk/…cts
Dont like the idea of paying upfront costs. Usually £200. Not many people have the money to pay that.

£200 is FAR FAR better to pay than being A) on a 36MONTH CONTRACT B) The same price as a two year contract and C) Pay the same as the two year deal but get FAR FAR less.

If you want to pay this then who are we to stop you but it's is the worst deal you could sign up to for any phone - regardless if it's the latest.

If cost is an issue then the S8 is as good and FAR FAR cheaper.
This is the worst deal I've seen yet, personally. If you can't even afford the £150 or so upfront for the half decent deals (which are genuinely £200+ cheaper over only 24 months), then you really should be looking at a cheaper phone. Low data and limited minutes over 3 years and £1116?

This is so cold it's slowing the fabric of space time itself around it.

3 year contract and only 1gb of data per month. Far from a great deal imo
I thought 2yrs was the max ofcom allowed?
Cheap at twice the price.
Change your username to Elsa its going to get frozen in here
crazy fool signing this contract lol
Other contracts add to to nearly the same but for only 2 years. Its nearly a years free contract.....
Wrong one, you meant to go on coldukdeals mate
The amount of t.v. documentaries I watch about those nearing poverty yet they all have top of the range phones. this is one of the reasons. Phone companies sh1t on those that can't afford to pay 100-300 upfront and you end up paying far far more. It's a disgrace that they allow these to happen
I'm in the market for a new 5t for my son and clearly my only choice on contract is o2. They charge 19.99 each minth for the phone, NVM a contract. 20 x24 is more than the phone costs to buy then 19.99 for a bad data deal.

PPL DO what our patents did and save up to buy
That doesnt happen. Its a want it now society. As someone has sais this is the cheapest deal with no upfront cost at the moment. Im happy with my Samsung A5 2017. And hope it lasts me 4 years. But if you have to have the latest phone. This is ok deal

Both 24 month contracts ...

£889 for unlimited + 4gb deal (£265 upfront)
hotukdeals.com/dea…494

£898 for unlimited + 12gb deal (£130 upfront)
hotukdeals.com/dea…290

I could go on. Paying an extra £220 odd and sacrificing down to 1gb data while being locked in for 36 months is a terrible compromise to avoid paying £130 up front.

I'm sorry you posted a cold deal squeakybot, and you're scrambling to try and justify it.

It's ice cold though mate. Simple as that.

Just what I was thinking. Why buy this phone and only use 1Gb of data?

Even in a "want it now society", there are far cheaper ways to get this phone, as many people have "sais" to you in this thread.
I take it not many takers then.....

Ive just bought the s9+ up front and will use it comfortably with 1.2gb data allowance. The phones main strength isn't eating phone data. If you do need to use a lot of data there's a thing called Wi-Fi. Main reasons for the phone are gaming, camera use and browsing/email.
