They (e2save) also have this on vodafone:

  • 4GB Data
  • Unlimited Minutes
  • Unlimited Texts

£23.00 P/M for 24 months

£210.00 UPFRONT

£762 total (code might work too). There are a few slightly better S9+ deals floating round, but all the best deals seem to be on vodafone (which is frustrating for me as I'm with them currently).

There are a few good deals on Vodafone and o2, but this is one of the better EE deals as it's got a bit more data than the usual 4 or 5gb. Plus I personally prefer sticking with EE (which means I'll have to port out and back in again).

Might go for this deal myself as I will be sending back the P20 Pro which I got yesterday.

Lol welcome to my world. I upgraded directly with ee last week on 20gb max plan for £43 a month plus £50 for phone. They'll take phone back but can't access any offers until I return the phone as their system is saying I'm under contract.
Be a hot deal imo if it wasn't for the upfront payment

Can I ask why you don't like, or don't want to keep, the P20 Pro please?
The P20 Pro seems decent enough but I've only played with it for a very short time though.

Positives:
Screen is bigger yet handset size is comparable to my S7 Edge;
Brilliant camera;
Excellent stereo speakers;
Fingerprint scanner at the front.

Negatives:
No wireless charging;
No expandable storage;
No headphone jack;
Battery life is questionable too.

Those missing features are things I've got used to on my S7, so it's not really much of an upgrade to me if I have to compromise too much. It's like trading my car in for something else which doesn't have heated seats, parking sensors, keyless entry etc. Yes, they're 'comfort' features and not everyone would be as bothered, but they're important to me, some more so than others (e.g. wireless charging on a phone and keyless entry on a car).

I bought the P20 Pro on impulse as I was drawn to the camera, screen and the recent 30Gb data deal.

If you're not fussed about those limitations then I'm sure you'll be delighted with the phone.
Interesting deal, I just bought the super-hot deal for the S9 (not plus) with EE 30gb of data essential plan - £33 per month, but now I'm really temped to cancel the order (awaiting for stock) because I really fancy a S9 Plus instead.
Even though the 8gb limit is a bit on the borderline for my usage, would have been happy with 12gb at this price or paying a little bit more for something like 20gb.

Do you know if the plan includes BT sport as well?
Any clue if this has an exynos CPU or a snapdragon?

Thanks

This is the ee max deal so definitely includes bt sports for full 2 years and ape music for 6 months as well as higher 4g speeds of up to 90mbps. I've got the 20gb max deal for £43 but really tempted to return that and get this as my deal works out £1,082 over 2 years. If the phone is UK spec it'll be Samsung's own cpu. From what I've read online snapdragon isn't UK released phones

And for more data on EE:

10Gb for £38/month & £45 upfront on Essentials plan. £957 in total.

20Gb for £38/month & £150 upfront on Max plan. £1062 in total.

Hi. Could you please share direct link?
Am I correct in thinking this plan would cover use while in the usa?
Well worth paying a bit more for the plus

I've used e2save for a number of years consecutively for redemption offers and have had no issues whatsoever, though admittedly that was a long time ago. Have also used Mobiles.co.uk and they were fine too.

Both companies are apparently part of Carphone Warehouse.

Good looking Samsang phone, but I am not lack of £90, just lack of £800...

Yes, I called them and they comfirmed it is a Max plan.

Still waiting for the order to be dispatched though, there is an issue on their system which shows that I'm already an EE customer therefore they cannot process the order.
It might be because I made and cancelled another order for a s9 with EE on another website.
They will try to solve the issue with EE but it can take a while.... Finger crossed!
I just called ee quoting the vodafone offer. Was offered the s9 plus for £50 with 10 gig Internet and unlimited calls and texts at £33 a month.

About £100 more expensive than the Vodafone deal but with 6 gig more Internet a month and probably BT Sport thrown in would you guys bite?

Ah, didn't see your message. I just got off the phone with them a few minutes ago and they confirmed it's the Max plan.

The person I spoke to said that they deal with both e2save and Mobiles.co.uk, and that the sister companies operate using common services. Not sure how true this is given the contrasting reviews on Trustpilot.
Tip: call their Customer Services number 01509 610 888 and select options 5, 3, 1 (charged at local rate), rather than their 0871 Sales number.

That's brilliant. Is that a retention deal?

I just spoke to retentions and mentioned the Vodafone offer. It started off well enough as I was offered £250 trade-in for my S7 Edge. But it all came tumbling down when he told me that I'd be paying £43 a month for 4Gb data.

I then mentioned this e2save deal, and for £30 a month, they want £500 for the handset!!

Not a great result considering I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to them. May try my luck again tomorrow and see if I can get through to someone else. Otherwise will have to settle for the e2save deal.

I wasn't too pushy on the issue just said I was thinking of taking the vodafone deal and asked if they could match it as I'd rather stay with ee! I'd definitely recommend trying again.

Not a good experience with E2save, I wonder if this deal is real.

I would not recommend this website so far, if you want to know why this is my story:

-I went for the affordablemobiles deal few days ago (found here) for an s9 on EE, I passed the credit check but the phone was out of stock, having found this deal for the S9 PLUS, I decided to cancel the previous order and go for the PLUS on e2save.

- after having placed the order on e2save this morning I received an email saying to call them because they had a problem with an existing EE contract on my name.

-I called and said I never had a contract with EE before, the guy on the phone tried to push me towards some other network but I refused, he said it can take a while to solve the issue, but he would have tried.

-I called affordablemobiles to see if they created an account for me on EE and not canceled after I canceled the order, they said no because since they were out of stock they didn't start the process.

-I called direcly EE asking if there was some contract on my name and address, they said there was nothing and even offered me to speak with the sales team for some offer. I refused because there was nothing even close to this one.

-I call back e2save, 40 minutes of wait to get someone on the phone and finally answers the exact same guy of the previous call. I tell him of my calls and he says that those were good news, he was in contact via chat with EE but they didn't reply to him yet. He assured me he would have called me back before 8pm and that I could still have my phone by tomorrow if everything was ok.

-At 7.50pm I receive the following email:

"On this occasion your order hasn't passed the network's credit check and has now been cancelled. We're not made aware of the reasons a credit check doesn't pass and we have no influence over the decision.

If you'd like to find out further information with regards to your credit history, we recommend you contact Experian who can help further with this."

Now It might be true, but I have serious doubts.
On the previous website I passed the credit check just 2 days ago, with the same details provided to e2save and the network was EE as well.
Btw I went on Experian website, as they suggested, and I found out that my credit score was 974 on 999 - Excellent.

I tried to reply to the email because it was too late to call, but the email bounced back, I cannot find a working email address for the support on their website.

I think I'm gonna try again tomorrow but I've lost the hopes and will have to look somewhere else.

If you know of some decent deal for a galaxy s9 plus with EE, please let me know.
Edited by: "dag0" 7th Jun
Not sure what's going on there. Though when I phoned up Affordable Mobiles today to start the return process of my P20 Pro, he mentioned that multiple credit checks within a 30 day period could cause problems. So he suggested that I should wait until next month before applying for another phone contract.

Out of curiosity, I've also just signed up on Experian's website and mine is 999. Will try EE again in the morning to see if they can offer a better retentions deal, if not then I'll go for this deal and hope that I won't hit any problems.

I retreat what I said.

I called E2save this morning and told them that my credit score was excellent on the website they suggested, the guy on the phone was very king and he said he would have done some further investigations and called me back afterwards.

I wasn't expecting it but he called me after just 20 minutes and said that everything was sorted, I placed the order on the phone and should receive it tomorrow.

Great!
Thanks just ordered, I also went through Quidco and got £25 cash back.
It says up to £45 but only showing £25 at the moment.

Was going to place the order this week but the upfront cost has now shot up to £260.

So I've marked this as expired now.

Yes I did, all good so far.

Finally today I got my old number transferred to EE.

The phone itself is a beast compared to my old beloved s7 edge (which is still a great phone btw).
