If you have a suitable euro card (clarity and such like) it takes the price down to £685, thanks to @mikeyfive

I can't adjust because not everyone has one of those cards, great price however.

Really? Strange! I'll try and add it to op.
Seems to be a very good deal. Does anyone have experience of buying tech from EU vendors? Are there any inconveniences, in this case maybe things such as power adaptors being for EU etc.

Yes EU, but you can just buy an adapter, or the proper UK charger.

Just plug it into a euro 2-pin to UK 3-pin adaptor. Works perfectly.
I wouldn't buy from anyone but Amazon, you've got the same cover as if you bought it from Amazon UK.

are you referring to the 3 that i can see from the past month or so that are all freezing cold? Are you mixing up S9 (which is posted multiple times daily) versus the s9+ ON CONTRACT - not up front?

It'd be expensed. Grand is fine! Lowest I find is 1170 over 2 years...
Voted hot
Don't think Samsung pay will work on a euro model. Could be wrong though.

You might be right, I haven't set mine up and I wouldn't want to use Samsung pay if I could, tbh.

No!
I've taken the plunge. I don't have an FX free card available sadly but I put it on my Costco Amex and found the conversion rate at Amex was better than Amazon's.

Thanks OP.
My only problem with the non-US S9's is the horrendous battery drain due to the Exynos chip
Battery lasts me all day with heavy usage. Better than my S8.

Any idea as to why Samsung pay wouldn't work? Assuming this would also apply to android pay (now Google pay)

I don't know tbh, I haven't set it up. I've never used either.
I can't see why it wouldn't though, everything else is in English... I can't see any differences to my friend's Vodafone S9 she got on contract last week.

I know but there's a better price on amazon Italy, which I'd rather people went to than this.
No. That's expired.
Oh for heavens sake. It's arrived, sealed nicely - everything inside - but the flipping phone!

Way. No idea how it's happened, the box appeared to be sealed.

Amazon Germany are not being particularly helpful, they want me to sign and return by post(!) or fax(!!) an affidavit(!!!) confirming I haven't received it.

I've told them I'm not happy about it and have got Amex to open a dispute.

Wow, sorry about that.
Jeez, what a piece of bad luck.

I hope you get it sorted, let me know how you get on.

Thanks man.

After a lot of too-ing and fro-ing it turns out that 'sending them a fax' really means 'sending a scan to an email address. Done, and replacement on the way. Hazards of ordering from abroad I guess.

It was sealed without the phone? No flipping way?! I received my Amazon.it S9 last weekend, the Amazon box had been opened but the phone was sealed in cellophane and the Samsung seal was still attached, so I thought everything would be fine... I bought it as a birthday present for my OH and have yet to open it.

After reading your post I'm going to contact them and return it as is, I'll buy one from the UK instead... I thought this empty box from Amazon thing was an urban myth.

I though it was a bit strange as the Amazon delivery was left in my porch, no signature was needed... on a £600 phone! I'm appalled.

This was how I received the box.
