Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus 64GB - Black, Blue or Lilac.
80GB Data, Unl Minutes, Unl Texts, Entertainment plan (Spotify Premium, Sky Sports, NOW TV or Amazon Prime Video) for 24 months at £21.83 a month (After cashback)

I've been keeping an eye on the Black Friday deals to find something special and noticed this today - it's an alternative offer to the main 100GB Black Friday offerings.

Monthly plan - £37pm
Cost over 24 months = £888

Cashback from Fonehouse = £324
Quidco = £40
Total cashback = £364

Cost of contract = £524
Over 24 months = £21.83pm

This actually works out cheaper than buying the phone outright from the majority of outlets including on Black Friday deals. You get a ridiculous amount of 4G Data, and you get an entertainment package worth up to £10 a month - no brainer!

I saw this bit thanks. It just seems so vague. I mean once the phone turns up then they could effectively put in anything in the terms to claim cashback.
I've never done a deal like this where the details are not wrote out in black and white.

Yeah Mobiles have been good as gold with payment tbh. Read on one of the other posts that MPD have just been bought out by AO so that's a good sign i'd think....
Really tempted by this, as far as the cashback goes if they were to go bust and I didn't receive the cashback would I be within my rights to stop paying Vodafone and keep the phone as the cashback was part of the contract agreed upon?

Terrible reviews on trust pilot

Most people review when they have had a bad experience.

From the Help section of their website:

If your deal included a cash back by redemption or a line rental discount this will be shown on your order confirmation email. Your cash back is claimable in five instalments over the initial duration of the airtime agreement. Cash back on 12 month contracts must be claimed during billing months 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 from the date of connection or upgrade. Cash back on 18 and 24 month contracts is claimed during billing months 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 from the date of connection or upgrade.

To claim, simply fill out our cash back claims form which can be found in the ‘My Account’ section of the website.

Please note that claims must be received within 60 days from the date shown on the mobile bill you provide to be valid.

Once approved cash back is paid within 14 working days directly into your bank account as supplied by you at the point of ordering.

Please note that you cannot claim a cash back if you have cancelled your order, disconnected the SIM card from the network, or you have changed your price plan with us, or with the network. The mobile bill you provide to us to at the point of your claim must be in relation to the mobile number we connected or upgraded. If you ported a different number to your new contract, the bills then need to show the number you have ported to.

If your contract includes automatic-cashback, you do not have to claim for this and it will be paid within 90 days of connection.

Cashback will become void for customers who disconnect from the network prior to their payment being made.

This is going over and above to help me, thank you soooo much. This is amazing of you
Is claiming 5 times over two years too much faff? I'm not sure if I'd remember. I'd have to set reminders. I guess the 60 day window per claim gives you enough time to react... Still not convinced I'd get it right, though!
Where does it detail what's included in the entertainment plan? And is that 80GB data per month? It doesn't clarify and 80GB seems like an awful lot for a month.
Only one flaw, you have quidco that most probably won't give you the cashback (or way lesser)

Sod it, i've ordered one. Let's see how it goes. Thanks OP
Quidco have tracked at £30? Thought most were getting around £40? :/
Issshhh
Mine got cancelled, anyone else got there's yet? I currently have 2 contracts with Vodafone so can't see why they would decline it.

Me and my wife are both with Vodafone and we both cancelled old contracts (24 months were up and we were on rolling monthly) and took out this deal via Fonehouse. I had no issues and recieved my phone/sim yesterday (see earlier post) however, my wife's order got rejected by Vodafone which is daft seeing as they already have her details/payment history.
Tempted to get this to use the sim in a 4g modem as Vodafone signal is break, but adsl is rubbish where I live.. Any ideas if that'd be not allowed or I'd see problems? Would probably just sell the phone and never use it!

You'd be better off going for the 100gb deal surely seeing as it's a bit cheaper?

That's quidco for you. You will be lucky enough if you get £5 even though it is tracked as £30 add the moment, most probably it will be tracked as zero after 3 months

yep - hadn't seen that before - however, I can't find anything that says its not against terms or will see any issues... I guess putting it in a 4g modem still counts as "tethering"?

They gave me £30 back. Advertised it as £40 so not sure why they underpaid, but I have to wait 3 months for cashback

ok.....so we took a punt on this but just wanted to clarify the version

Samsung UK don't list the 64Gb model on their site so this is obviously a EU or US version, apart from the storage space, is there any other impact of that?

I heard some musings that samsung pay and stuff wont work, anyone know? What about the bands the phone operates on?

@sgill84 can you post a pic of the specs from the back of the box or the bands covered etc (dont forget to hid serials and imeis). Would be useful to see the Samsung model number (SM-G965F etc)

Does this version have 6Gb of RAM? Is it the Exynos processor?

Storage isnt really an issue for me but if there was a notable issue or feature missing I will be returning

AFAIK all UK/EU models have the Exynos 9810 and the US model have the Snapdragon 845. 6gb RAM i believe you'll find is standard for the Plus no matter. I've read Wifi calling won't work, not that that bothers me, dare say it'll still work on Whatsapp etc anyways for the rare time i'd use it. 24 months of warranty as has been posted is standard, I'd doubt these will be US models, normally it's the EU ones that are cheaper with UK deals. I'd rather the 845 chip personally but in real life terms won't notice any difference with the 9810 other than it's 'supposedly' not as good on battery. We'll see.... Mines still saying arriving on Friday fingers crossed.

Granted it's the S9 comparison but same same

Mine still says order being processed may not come off as apparently (according to email) got one from other deal at MPD and have heard Vodaphone won't process two phones on one name in a month ?

I'd ordered a SIM deal the day before ordering this, spoke to Voda yesterday and the CS said they could see another line active on my account (the SIM only deal i'm guessing) mine still says "Expected Delivery Date: 30/11/2018 (Subject to successful credit check)" so hoping it goes through....
Looks like i'll be getting knocked then... Still awaiting 'subject to credit check' and as i'd ordered a SIM deal on Friday which arrived today I can't see this S9 deal going through

Anybody actually got there's delivered yet? only seen one on this thread!
Yes, mine was delivered yesterday

When I spoke to them they said they had a big backlog of orders, but the phones are in stock so once it’s processed with Vodafone it’ll come out to you.

I’ve clearly got mine early, it works but Vodafone have said they haven’t registered my number yet (yet I’m calling and using data on their network?) it’s also showing 90gb monthly allowance, not 80gb
36325104-VfAS9.jpg just had this from them as today was the expected delivery date... Think I'll try and get through to Voda CS and see if they've got anything on their system about it. From what I've read on here though I'll probably fail the credit check as they don't allow more than one contract in 30 days even though my credit history is spot on.

Glad somebody else has got theirs though! ?

iPhone X arrived today, sealed, 100gb, unlimited calls and data for £36. Because they took so long my upfront amount which was pending has gone back into my bank . Stay with it if you want the deal. Order wise my order was 12500 ish so if your 15,000 more, it’s going to be awhile

Arse! Poxy Voda even though the CS assured me yesterday it'd be fine, got this today
Both mine and my husband's got cancelled due to the credit check, i spoke to Vodafone this evening and they have done there own credit check and given me a 'credit reference number' to pass on. This is valid untill February so hopefully they will now honor my order.
