Can also use code 10off to make it 140 up front. I understand that people want to wait for the S10 however for people wanting the s9 it is as good as it gets so far.
Why would you buy (piece of technology) When you can just wait until (newer piece of technology) comes out and it drops in price, or just grab (older piece of technology) for way cheaper?
Ludicrously expensive. There isn't much improvement the S9 has over the S8 so if you want practically the same phone for cheaper, pick up the S8 or plus.

Havent really evaluated the specs in any great detail - faster CPU (zzz - like the previous model was slow), better camera.

I grabbed the Note 8 and the dual camera is actually excellent - Seems all they've really added is a dual camera which trust me does make a huge difference in pic quality. BUT wouldn't recommend upgrading at this price - better to get cheaper Note 8.

But...but... you didn't mention the all important change in placement of the fingerprint sensor so butterfingers won't smudge the camera lens or the very slight removal of a tiny bit more bezel or the animoj..sorry, I mean AR Emoji.
Amend the title, no mention of upfront. No deal from me now.
This will sell in high quality slow motion.
Been looking at this as my contract has run out, it' frustrating currently as the note8 is about the same price for a similar contrzct(around £40 a month) and the s8 really isn't much cheaper. I'm have to be patient, but it' so hard.

Actually looking like buying an s8 outright and a SIM only contract is the cheapest way, but it wasn't just a few months ago.
I don't blame Samsung at all for making overpriced phones, they obviously see the apple sheep as an easy target.
However, sold my cheap S5 and probably won't buy another samsung as the next models were priced OTT.
I'm also add that j spent yesterday browsing for the best deal and this tops it so well done to the OP. Heat added.
The variable aperture they've managed to cram into that phone is actually really bloody impressive. Looking forward to seeing the results.
Worth noting that the US version requires Meltdown mitigation. This involves some throttling.
I bet the Mongoose M3 cores are the same.

Its a shame the hardware could not have been revised in time to exclude the big security hole.
Rumours also have it that the Mongoose has gone Apple/Intel like for battery killing benchmarks.

Mobiles also offer 20gb for £39 a month with £150 upfront. The extra 8gb is worth an additional £2...
OMG!!! Android getting cold !! Price makes all the difference

Where is the note 8 cheaper than this deal? I am after a note 8 but haven't seen anything with a total cost lower than this

I think the new camera in the S9 would be the main reason why anyone would want upgrade to this phone. It has as a dual aperture lens, with 2.4 for sharper pictures outdoors and 1.5 for low light situations. Not really worth the upgrading for, but is a unique enough feature that the phone will stand out amongst the other phones that are now also bevel-less, and have a curved screen, and have 4GB or RAM and a fast CPU.

It's a shame they didn't go with dual camera on the s9 as well, that would have ticked another box on the list of features to look for in a phone.

Best to wait a few months, we normally see prices go down in June anyway as news of iphones start to leak and demand for the Galaxy S models decline.

Comp. agree on waiting - andorid phones drop in price like a lead ballon for some reason.

Hate the fact Samsung also like a zombie with 1 leg when it comes to updates - Note 8 on release (September 2017) and still no Oreo!

S9 no dual camera?!? Forget about it...

The S9+ has dual camera's but not the s9, shame really, at this price you'd think dual camera's should be standard.

Sick to death of these corporate crooks with this incremental deployment strategy.

Huawei by far the worst. Bought Mate 7 & 8 - superb phones and then they dissected the phone in 9 & 10. Where you could get all the tech in 1 handset they split it into 2-3 diff. Handsets.

You are absolutely right it could have and should have been incorporated as standard - same as how I expect bezel free now.

I guess end of day they do it cos they know they can get away with it because in the end too many of us do buy their handsets and thus the pattern of corporate greed flourishes.

OK I'm a little angry, I admit that...

No one has said wait and get a Xiaomi 5 Pro yet....
I see that people are saying upgrading from the S8 to S9 is pretty pointless (I agree). But there are people out there who have older phones, who are out of contract (like me) and wishing to upgrade to this handset. The Mobiles.co.uk deals are the cheapest I can find also at the moment. Heat from me.
Yes, I think Samsung hit the top level at the S6.
