okay, for those marking this cold - can you please let me know where I can get one cheaper?

I was so close from buying this from Currys yesterday 'cause it's in their promotion leaflet but I didn't after reading the specs.

It's a bit backward now considering the new tablets with quad-core processor and full HD displays.

However, if you're ok with the specs, this price is really good considering it's from a reputable retailer like Currys.

I'm not voting either way though 'cause I believe the tablet is not worth this price.

I think this tab was £189 in john lewis recently and with a 2 year warranty to boot. I personally would go for the 32 gb nook over this at the moment over £50 cheaper and better in all depts.

All depts? Are you sure?

Can you or anyone else recommend a decent 9" or above tablet for less than £200?

Branded quadcore tablets are going for over £300.

I'm in the market for a tablet too and will probably buy the "Pipo M9 Pro 3G". It's only available from China (via AliExpress, Deal Extreme,...etc) so there is a bit of a risk but for the saving I'll probably do it. I'm still doing my research though but that's my conclusion so far. Good reviews on Amazon too.

The Cubot mobile I bought for my wife via AliExpress is simply AMAZING and it arrived in just under two weeks.

They had these on at about £169 on a yellow clearance sticker in Currys Milton Keynes shopping centre on Wednesday.

Wow I'm amazed no one has said it was cheaper last Christmas, they always do and I also say it's great news for time travellers

I've gone for the Note 10.1 from o2 - which is reduced to £299.99, but the sales assistant also added his staff disc of 10% so worked out at £269.99 for the Note.

Not turned it on yet....
