Great! Thanks for sharing!

Worth mentioning that they're refurnished units with a 12 month warranty.

2nd hand and just£30 off brand new price, is this really a deal!!!!

Not really a deal as the item is 'SELLER REFURBISHED' by Tesco lol

You would be better off paying another £30 to get a NEW product that has no scratches, faults etc.

Honestly, Tesco refurbished are like new with a 12 month warranty so you can buy confidently. This is a repost of a recent deal though.

Agree, I bought one a while back and it was mint. The only difference between it and a new one was that the box had been opened and re-sealed. All plastic protectors were in place and had not been removed, all wires were tied and un-used.

Mint just like a new unopened one I bought at Christmas.

The thing that people dont know when buying refurbished products and what retailers do not tell you is........

You only have the warranty that the retailer offers you with the product, you do not have the manufactures warranty. i.e Samsung offer a 2 year warranty with their Galaxy Tab on anew product (first user initial purchase).

Once an item has been sold as new and then sold again as Refurbished or Open Box, the manufactures warranty becomes void for the second user (2nd purchaser), you can only use the retailers warranty thats offered if anything would to go wrong.

Meaning: You will not have the Samsung 2 year warranty with the Tesco seller Refurbished product, if you doubt what I say just speak to Samsung customer services as they can confirm.

Great deal ... I bought one of the 10.1 tabs a few weeks ago. Supposedly tesco refurb but arrived as new not a mark on it I image these will be the same

This might be the best deal now, however these were available for £148 with a £30 cash back off Samsung = £118 brand new last year.

And it took less than ten comments, not a new record but a good try my time travelling chum.

I had one of these which bought at Christmas. The power recharging failed, which is a common fault.

I sent it to Samsung for warranty and after a lot of wasted time calling up and chasing, Samsung refused to honour the warranty.

My advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT and Samsung.

I for one would want to know that this was once sold for £118 new. It's puts a current price into perspective.

When making a comment such as jaizan's its legitimacy is more about the tone and intent in which it's delivered than the fact it may be a 'time travelling' cliché. Pointing this out is as much of a cliché.

Does the time travelling criticism work forwards too ? I reckon these will be reduced in price once the Tab 3 is out ? Should no-one state that to those considering making a purchase ?

I can't imagine Samsung refusing to honour the warranty unless there was physical damage to the device that was causing the problem. They don't just refuse arbitrarily to refuse warranty repairs. Whilst I'm sure it was inconvenient for you I can't help but feel we are only hearing one side of the story here, so whilst I sympathise forgive me if I don't hold Samsung entirely to blame (without more details).

For £10 extra get the brand new … For £10 extra get the brand new http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/galaxy-tab-2-8gb-7-white-129-delivered-tesco-poss-2-quidco-1579193

Now thats a deal

So why is this hot and the other one tepid

Probably because Refurbished was not in the title

I agree, this deal is misleading as it should state 'SELLER REFURBISHED' in the title.

The product in question is not even Manufacture Refurbished, its Seller Refurbished by Tesco themselves, lol

Even the Argos Outlet use D&J Henry which are electrical refurbishment agents for retailers (but who have a really poor refurbishment program).

Go buy NEW and use the £20 off code, you get a brand new product for £129 with a 2 year warranty from Samsung.

This is hot when you receive a new sealed one from Tesco

Whats peoples opinions on this compared to a Nexus 7?
(seeing as theres a 16GB refurb for £10 on here)

Are these as good as a ipad?

Not as good as an ipad, but a hell of alot cheaper, the nexus is probably the best small tablet at the moment
