Trying to hold out for the competition, it's only early november and prices will drop more.

Ordered as a Christmas present but will keep an eye out for something cheaper and return if needs be. Hot

This is an excellent price for the NEW tab 3. Used are currently selling at this price!

I know on android phones its possible to put apps on the sd , but i dont know how. hope that helps lol.

Having read this review I still think the Hudl is a contender.

You will be able to move MOST downloaded apps from the Tablets 8GB to your SD Card.

poor spec

1.2GHz dual, 1GB of ram and 600x1024 screen isn't poor.

A good price but not quite no brainer territory for me due largely to its screen resolution. Recommend potential buyers read the Amazon user reviews before ordering just to avoid excess expectation. A good tablet though for those on a budget

You sound like a bit of a victim. Someone asks you what you've got, you'll have to say “cheap last generation Korean tablet“ !

That's just snobbery

What's the best website to compare tablets? Looking for one that compares specs besides each other. Used gsm arena for most comparisons but they don't seem to have some of the budget tablets e.g hudl

Don't need it not going to buy this ... No way

1024x600 screen is more than poor, it's diabolical!

Good price, but I would buy this for same price after cash back. Quad … Good price, but I would buy this for same price after cash back. Quad core, much higher resolution and still made by good brand. Gets great reviews.

I would have the Samsung Tab 3 over the Hudl every time. There is more to tablets than numbers on spec sheets. However, unless I wanted a white Samsung, I would probably go for the Asus Memo Pad HD as well. It is a cracking tablet for the money... but so are these. It's good that there is this kind of choice.

I would buy the Asus Memo pad HD from here for same price, after £10 cash back. It has much higher res screen, quad core, twice the internal storage and is made by Asus.

It gets very good reviews. Model no is me173x for anyone wanting to look them up.

It really doesn't matter all that much in a budget tablet its perfectly fine. Annoys me the way people talk down things that are perfectly fine for virtually everyone, as it just confuses people, puts them off something or makes them spend more when then is no need to.

Absolutely agree about having the choice, though I wouldn't rule out Hudl completely. I imagine people buying any one of these three are going to be very happy with what they get.

Is not. I use my 1024x600 Tab 2 every day and rarely do I wish it was higher resolution. It would be nice if it was (for zoomed out web pages or whatever) but it is not remotely painful to use and I really don't think about it. If it was 800x480 (like the Archos I have as well) I'd agree, but you're just being a drama queen. It's not nearly as bad as you think it is. I'd rather have a 1024x600 screen with good brightness, colour reproduction and viewing angles than a 1280x800 screen that was inferior in those regards.

Is there a 10" version?

If judging it based on it's competition then it's pretty darn low. The Hudl for all it's faults does have a decent res screen, I'm neither here nor there on that though. Just think that Samsung shouldn't be skimping at churning out stuff that hasn't progressed a jot since the original Tab.

Actually, you can get the Memo Pad HD for less once you take into account a voucher code & the cashback offer now in place.

Absolutely. the Hudl is a lot of tablet for the money and has the advantage of always being £120 (and can be an ever bigger bargain with doubled-up Clubcard vouchers). The others, for the time being, need to be having some kind of reduction applied to bring them down to the same price. All three are great tablets that most people will be happy with, each with their own particular strengths and weaknesses. People need to stop worrying about finding the 'best' (there is none) for the money and start thinking about which one is most 'suitable' for 'them' (or the lucky recipient).
