Nuts... Ordered the Asus HD7 from Very on Friday...

I hope it's as good as this.

Hot Diggity!

Is this the latest model ?

I was conflicted between a Samsung galaxy tab didn't know there was a version 3 or a version 1 nexus. Not sure which is best ? I only surf, YouTube, email odd game for the kids.

I've got the samsung galaxy tab wifi 5inch. And it's great as my toy. But my toddler can use it better than me, there great and such a great price. Xx

is this a typo? The spec looks the same as the tab2.

Voted hot for best price around.. really disappointed with the specs! Not much of an upgrade at all.

(Edit: Compared to Tab2)

nexus v2 much better specs for only a little more... imho

crap

Spec wise, this tab 3 doesn't seem to be as good as an original nexus 7 (lower screen resolution, fewer cores etc) which can be had for the same or less (with a bit of searching). Shame on you Samsung. Not one for me, this one.

I suppose the difference is Samsung probably want to make money on the device, whereas google don't need to as you are the product and you'll make money for them.

to be honest the specs (especially the resolution) look fairly poor to standard against the new nexus 7, for me the few extra pounds spent is well worth it just for the full HD screen alone.

I used to have a Galaxy tab 2 7.0 which was ok, but loads of hassle trying to move stuff onto SD card when the internal memory is full, have they sorted this out at all?

Cold for this price you get much more capable nexus 7(2012)

Screen resolution from 1984. Cold.

Tab 1 2 3 all the same

Im confused as to why this is so hot. This is someone who actually has a tab 2 and think they are fine, but the nexus 7 at 16gb (2012) is still in stock and is a much better tablet, even compared to the tab 3.

Just got one of these on a $ky offer for £50, and I'd say that's about it's money, sluggish even with a couple of task killers on it, nowhere near the Nexus 7 v1 I did have!

Specs not much different from Tab 2 7
The big difference between the Tab 2/3 and most of the other 7 inch tablets is the ability to add storage via microSD
This is a deal breaker for me, I have the Tab 2 7 and it is a great little tablet, robust and speedy enough for what I need

Pay an extra 20 bones and get the Nexus 7 2013 model.

how did you get it for £50?

Very average spec for the money, Samsung are trading on name these days, Nexus 7 v1 is the better option.

$ky were offering it for £50 for new TV subscribers.

I love Samsung stuff, but this is a bizarrely mediocre specification, 1.2 MHz dual core means sluggish browsing when everything is rocking on the tablet. Really weird. The remote control optionis interesting though to me.

picked up the Tab 7.0+ new from Tesco for £99.99 over 9 months ago. The spec looks the same.

Can the tab 3 output to tv via hdmi? (unlike tab 2)

crappy specs

I got it for £50 from sky as new customer.. trust me very sluggish when browsing basic websites.cant play few games like gta and nfs. cant complain for £50 but good for youtube music and other basic stuff..

Def get the Nexus, old or new one, both are better than this.

no gpu

I think the price of these will tumble towards christmas. Not really worth a lot more than the plethora of £99 slates from acer, hp etc.

Yes - new software version rolling out OTA currently. Now stores a lot more on the SD.

Poor screen resolution, choppy performance.
