Well 8.3 is a lot different to 10.1 in my opinion. If the Tesco Direct G Pad comes back in stock at £119/£109 then I'd say go for that, otherwise this is a good price.

Anybody know if this will be in store as well?

g pad !
this one has a good price, but ppi n resolution is very low.

Cold. I didn't think it was worth the £129 I paid for this with Very before Christmas. Very poor tablet in my opinion. Sold it within a week. Poor screen, laggy and lack of support for the device. Samsung are terrible with updates.

8" vs 10.1"
8" has tv out, 10" doesnt... also.. multi app function missing on 10.1", and camera is worse, and pixels per inch is worse off, but battery is higher capacity.
So pay extra for less? Samsung fail.. cold.

I ordered one on amazon deal, it is good build but I wish screen was full HD. One would notice difference when reading magazines etc.

So lesson learnt, if I need to buy large tablet, it must be with excellent screen.

can't agree with this I'm afraid. I paid £189 for mine and I am perfectly happy with it. To pay only £129 and not be happy is ridiculous, what did you replace it with? And at what cost?

I'd say G Pad overall though. I just feel LG does tablets and phones better than Samsung. Samsung tabs have always underwhelmed me, though the Tab 3 10.1 is meant to be very good

Define better... On balance of the fact you asked, I would go stick with the g-pad you've already bought since it's significantly cheaper

I checked all the other online stores... but this is the best... Great deal

Won't they be used devices on ebay?

Really poor specs, I don't think it's even worth £129 last deal through Very. Poor in every aspect, from processor to build quality(plastic), just got a LG G pad yesterday which I am super impressed, build quality(aluminium at the back) is as good as ipad mini, with high resolution screen(1920 x 1200 pixels) and proper fast processor (Qualcomm APQ8064 Pro Snapdragon 600) with 2GB ram with latest android KitKat, it's a delight to use, and at £119/£109, it's a steal.

Please don't buy Samsung because the big screen which you will be disappointed, you might still have chance getting the LG G pad in tesco store if you call your local store to check the stock.

LG G Pad all the way.....

I wouldn't worry about that as you can claim back your ppi.

But its not 10.1 inch. If you are buying for an oldie parent, that bit is important. 8.3 will never equal 10.1. However fast or high resolution.

chromecast simple....

my 10.1 Galaxy tablet has been back & forth to Samsung - 1st it kept switching off after 2 seconds and they fixed that, now the keypad freezes (a new fault after they returned it from switching off) - it is on its way back there now after they couldn't find a fault .....

OUT OF STOCK

Great price but the worst 10" tablet I've used, if size is all that matters then go for it but I found the screen quality terrible compared to a 2012 nexus 7. Heat added anyway as its the cheapest available.

This or Google Nexus 10?

No contest for the discerning. The Nexus 10 is in a different league spec and performance wise. Being first in the queue for android updates is another big advantage. Only caution is that the Nexus 10 has no built in microsd expansion slot but a cheap usb OTG cable (about £2) allows you to plug in a memory stick and view/play/transfer media and is an excellent workaround. Incidentally, Samsung manufactures the Nexus 10 for Google. If you just want a decent, cheap, middle of the road 10.1" tablet that does the job, get the Tab3. If you want the best, go for the Nexus 10.
