Thought this was a good price for this. Hopefully a hot deal

Item is a refurb - Usually good quality from other refurbs I've had.

Probably worth noting that this is a refurb, not brand new.

£28 is actually quite a lot considering the Tab is so cheap.

One question, has there been a Jelly Bean update for this tablet?

Yes, but only upto 4.1.2. You will have to flash a ROM to get it to 4.2.2.

Looks like the clubcard deal finished yesterday as it was here

But still £139 if you use the £10 discount code.

I received one from here on Wednesday. The box had been opened and that is all. The tab was perfect with all plastic protectors as new. Charger and cable new and unused.

I don't know why anyone would buy this over the nexus 7. For just a little more money you get a tablet with a higher screen resolution, double the storage capacity, double the power, and a more up to date OS.

I think the Samsung may have a better GPS receiver as it can pick up Russian satellites as well as american ones and it has an SD Card slot. If you travel a lot in Europe being able to pick up Russian satellites can make a HUGE difference walking through narrow European streets.

Actually based on my travels to over 20 countries it MORE THAN DOUBLES depending on where in the world you are

Once I got a Samsung Galaxy Note which also picks up the Russian Satellites the number of Satellites I locked on to more then doubled in Europe.

When you're walking through a tiny, narrow street in a European City it will probably triple the number of Satellites you're actually able to lock on to compared to using a GPS only system.

From what I've read the orbit the Russian Satellites are in favours narrow built up streets more then the American system.
If you're planning to spend a lot of time in Europe in built up areas I'd highly recommend a dual system SatNav.

The only stupid thing about Samsung is they don't make it obvious to the consumer their devices have such a great GPS receiver.

All other things being equal I'd much rather have a tablet with 8GB of internal space and with a built in 32GB Micro SDHC Card slot then a tablet with 16GB and no card slot.

The biggest draw for me of the Nexus and the Samsung is the GPS and I believe the Samsung's receiver is far superior

I've owed over 10 GPS Devices in my life - and I've struggled to get a lock in narrow streets in Spain and Italy when the only thing you can lock on to is American Satellites - once you have the option to lock on to Russian ones as well you have a much more useful device.
