Seems the cheapest deal about online. I'm looking for one for my kids and this tablet looks like it will do the job for what they need. Open box deal but still has 1 year warranty

huawei mediapad t3 - go look on amazon to see the specs. the galaxy tab A is vastly overpriced (as is all the samsung range). But you may want to get an amazon 10" HD tab. Whilst they are 150 pounds at present, on black friday they came down to 109 - better spec than the tab A. And even at normal price, better spec (3GB RAM, 32GB storage, higher res screen).

ive been looking for an 8" tab with 4G, but there are so few options with at least 3GB RAM - and the mediapads are the main contender. Watch out for the "mediapad lite" vs the other - you may want the "lite", but its a slower cpu, which is not brilliant for gaming, but adequate for browsing or lighter games. The non-lite version is equivalent to the galaxy tab S or S2 range, and the prices are very good, considering anything which is not a samsung is better. (I have a galaxy tab S, and whilst it was good when I bought it, the prices havent come down in 3y, or have gone up, whilst mobile phones have 2-3x in terms of power in the same time frame).

kids grow up quickly (you dont need to be told that!). tablet should last at least 2-3y or more, so you are really looking at 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage to future proof. 3GB of RAM means as you flip from one app to the other, the other app is still running and will be quicker, e.g. when flipping from youtube to browser to game and back again. 2GB or lower, and the other apps may stop - meaning a bigger delay as you switch back. (2GB is just about good enough but I have found it annoying). The tab A is showing as 2GB RAM. 32GB of storage means less hassle when installing lots of games and pictures. 16GB is really about 11GB after install, so 32GB is really 3x what a 16GB is giving you.

Dont overspend, and avoid the chinese nonames, which, can be hit and miss. Huawei are not quite a chinese noname, but have built up a reputation, and the latest mediapads suggest they have got the models and pricing right. (There are other good far-east brands, but it is mind bogglingly confusing, unless you stare at the specs carefully - which I love doing !)

good luck
I had a huawei tablet years back when there were few others around (apart from Apple) and lots of people commented on how good it was for the money
Open box, hmm
I'd avoid samsung tabs with a bargepole, had 2 samsung tab2's and both are dead with battery issues within 3 years....its only a matter of time before they go....whereas I've had an apple ipad2 since 2011, and its still going strong, 6.5 years later ! Its used heavily everyday, and the battery seems almost as good as when I first bought it

I'm not an expert, but I would not touch an iPad with a bargepole. They are GARBAGE. You might want to look up the current fiasco concerning batteries in iPads; Apple are updating older models to run slower due to the batteries cutting out. Samsung are far superior, and Apple use screens made by Samsung.

Sorry bud you're talking crap, as I said I have hands on experience with both devices of between 6-7 years. Meaning I OWN them both. Carry on reading drivel posted by other people that don't own them either, and whilst you're at it you might want to google battery issues with Samsung Galaxy Tab 2's its seriously a joke, and a design flaw that seems to have been built in - not to mentions the Samsung S7 phone which helped lower consumer energy prices, when new consumer phones started catching fire in peoples homes. Joker.
