Our experts have some serious techsperience, and they think you'll love this Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" Tablet. This good-looking tablet is perfect for watching HD content while you're out and about. The 13-hour battery life means you can squeeze plenty of episodes of your favourite show in before needing to recharge. And the Full HD screen will have you totally immersed.

Widescreen 10.1" tablet is designed for entertainment

Watch films, shop online, and finally conquer that addictive game – the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is built for entertainment. And because it has a beautiful Full HD widescreen, every episode of your favourite show looks just as it should – no bars on the side or images getting cropped.

It's not just the screen that's built for your favourite films and shows – you've got Dolby Atmos sound. That's the same technology used in cinemas, so you've got proper surround sound for every song or soundtrack.

13 hour battery life is built for streaming

You don't want to run out of battery mid-Netflix binge. Which is why the Tab A has a 13 hour battery life. And that's when you're watching videos non-stop. If you're just browsing online or listening to a podcast – well, you've got all day.

Expand your storage to save more stuff

Gone are the days of deleting photos so you can download more music. You've got 32 GB of storage built in, but you can add up to 512 GB (as much as most laptops) with a microSD card. Download away.

Always trying to coordinate with your family to plan events? Remove the chasing with Family Share. You can connect up to six accounts to keep track of appointments, set reminders and leave important messages.

Fun for the kids, without any worries for you

The Tab A is ideal for younger users thanks to Kids Mode. Along with a colourful and engaging layout, it allows you to limit what your little ones access, with content that will keep children entertained for hours.

Great tablet good for watching movies I Internet emails etc and kids mode is great to keep young kids entertained. Bonus gift 6 months Spotify premium.
Bought the other day, it's good for kids, but painfully slow to use
Wonder if this would be good for xcloud?

How painful are we talking? Wanted to get this for consuming media via iPlayer, YouTube etc and also remote viewer for the CCTV rest of the time.

Seemed better than the Fire Tab as had access to the Play store and no sideloading issues.
I'm weighing up this or the Huawei M5 Lite 10 version. Huawei has extra RAM and apparently great speakers but there's also a £30 difference in price. Which to get?

I have the 2016 version of this, so unless the specifications have decreased with the 2019 one, then I disagree with Blowerd. I don't play games, so can't comment on its ability for this. For the Internet, Netflix and NowTV, it is faultless in my opinion.

i was tempted to upgrade, but since my one works perfectly well, I will put it on hold.

Maybe the Huawei T5 for the same price? Or Lenovo M10 from Costco, £20 more but considerably better specs.

Not keen on the T5 as it seems to be inferior for just £30 less. Will check out the M10 though I have an old Lenovo at the moment and know how poor they are with updates.

Don't get me wrong, it's works fine, but you can tell it only has 2gig of ram, I find the auto rotation is delayed, screen lag when browsing the net. My kids play games with no problems at all. I just found for general day to day use. It's slow and get frustrating.

Turn off animations in developer options it helps a little. When you last clear your browser's cache files? I agree these tablets are just ok think we got the poor selection compared to other countries with this device since there is a 3GB ram version and 64GB storage by Samsung.

Even cheaper on eBay with a code, just £20 more for the Huawei M5 lite at £180.50
I wouldn't pay £159 for a tablet with just 2GB RAM.

You're a M5 Lite fan, would you recommend I go with the extra RAM version? Or stick with 3GB? I'll be *mostly* watching videos on it.

Currently eyeing up a 4GB T5 or a 3GB M5 Lite. £169 (not buying from Amazon) vs £190

Just 3GB, definitely avoid this Samsung if you like watching videos and films
The speakers are side firing, and it's really odd having sound from one side only.

Thanks! Very useful. Re: my edit to my previous post, I'm now eyeing up the T5 Vs the M5 Lite. 4GB T5 can be had for £169 and M5 Lite 3GB for £190. You don't think T5 is better value especially with extra RAM?

Should add that the T5 doesn't have the special speakers the M5 has, and has inferior battery life. Are those enough of a differential?

It's £180.50 on ebay.

The M5 lite has Android 9, a bigger battery, Harman Quad speakers, better cameras, pen support and something else I can't remember. It's your choice really.

I thought the 10 inch M5 Lite only had Android 8.0? The M5 Lite 8.4 model has Pie, right?

It appears the M5 Lite is scheduled to get Android Pie soon (or now has it, but I have no way of checking) but I can't be sure.

Damn you for making me question my decisions!
Does this work with s pen
