Cheapest I can find....

Bring your entertainment anywhere

Watch films, shop online, and finally conquer that addictive game – the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is built for entertainment. And thanks to its portable 8” size, easily slip it in your bag and binge another episode on the train.

It's not just the screen that's built for your favourite films and shows – you've got Dolby Atmos sound. That's the same technology used in cinemas, so you've got proper surround sound for every song or soundtrack.

14 hour battery life is built for streaming

You don't want to run out of battery mid-Netflix session. Which is why the Tab A has a 14 hour battery life. And that's when you're watching videos non-stop. If you're just browsing online or listening to a podcast – well, you've got all day.

Expand your storage to save more stuff

Gone are the days of deleting photos so you can download more music. You've got 32 GB of storage built in, but you can add up to 512 GB (as much as most laptops) with a microSD card. Download away.

Always trying to coordinate with your family to plan events? Remove the chasing with Family Share. You can connect up to six accounts to keep track of appointments, set reminders and leave important messages.

Fun for the kids, without any worries for you

The Tab A is ideal for younger users thanks to Kids Mode. Along with a colourful and engaging layout, it allows you to limit what your little ones access, with content that will keep children entertained for hours.

Sorry for the rushed post. This is one for those travelling from Heathrow. Hopefully it helps someone. Also, it's not necessary to reserve online, you can pop into Dixon's Travel and buy it...they had some in stock late last week.

It's 2GB RAM. The deal went hot when it was £99 at Argos, but sold out very quickly. It was also £99 on Amazon for a very short time, but it's back up to much more than that now. For the price, it's an OK tablet. You could pay less and get the Amazon Fire HD, or pay more and get the Huawei 8inch. Theres not so many options in the 8inch space.

True Heat added.

But I still think its quite expensive given 800 x 1280 pixels, (~189 ppi density)

Who remembers the Tesco Asus £59 Tablet. That had 800 x 1280 pixels and similar specs , and was rock solid, albeit a number of years ago.

Shame Google and others have given up on tablets.

Yes, agree....there's just not a lot of options out there anymore. I think even the old Nexus 7 was similar to this and that was in 2012! This has micro USB too, which for a 2019 product, is very disappointing..... nonetheless, it's good enough to watch movies, browse the web, etc, and small enough to pack in your carry-on for flights....and a bit better than the cheapo Amazon tablets...and it's reasonably well built.

Yeah I still have my gen 2 Nexus 7 and it still doing great but starting to slow a bit with just 2gb ram but like you said it's hard to get a good 3gb ram 8in tab at a good price, this is ok for movies and web and 2d gaming but not much good for proper games, starts to stutter a bit here and there so life value will be short.
