IMHO this is the price the device should be anyway. It has worse specs than the Tab pro 10.1 but was the same price!

indeed your personal opinion as all other retailers are selling this above £200 still...don't forget this deal brings a Free Chromecast

Ipad 2 screen

Terrible 5 yr old specs.

The screen res of 1024x768 on this tablet is too low.

I agree Samsung just producing low spec crap ware and having to chuck stuff in to shift stock.

Terrible resolution for that sized screen

I don't know what Samsung are playing at with this tablet. poor screen poor specs and overpriced. who do they think they are? Apple?

Cold..its a samsung...poor spec...laggy and full of bloatware

It's curry's throwing in the freebies to shift stuck.

For this price you could get a used tab s which is so much better than this tablet.

I've got the 4g version of this and I think it's a great tab

Thanks for the deal

768 x 1024 pixels! At this size and price range, need to go for 1536 x 2048 pixels. Pay 30 more and get a Nexus 9 (slightly smaller at 8.9") if you want 4:3 Android. Tab S2 which is higher spec version of this Tab A 1536 x 2048 is expected to be expensive, I'm not sure it is worth the wait.

Why is this getting heat, terrible deal. The very poor resolution screen gives this tablet the same performance as a cheap knock off fake one

I considered this for a nano second because of aspect ratio and stylus. Only other alternative really is surface

Me too, but I'll wait for the 16gig Nexus 9 price to drop. Samsung have delusions of grandeur but they aren't apple and their crash is coming.

I've voted the deal hot as it is a good deal, what I mean is Samsung are overpricing what is a very basic spec tablet...

I said was the same price. The Tab A is normally priced at £229.99 which is the same price as the Tab Pro.

Five year old specs. Much better and cheaper tablets are available.

Picked it up in Liverpool - saw it yesterday for £199 - so cracking deal as far as I'm concerned - heat added

Just need to get me a 64gb micro sd for it now.

This proves that people will buy any crap as long as it has the Samsung name on it.

I think you will find the Motorola Xoom was the first premium Android tablet released back in 2011 and it certainly wasn't as good as this and it cost £500.

This is a good everyday tablet. Heat!

Barely better and it was one of the most expensive tablets ever released. Don't tell me people's eyes have gained superior vision in just 4 years.

Some people are also complaining about the new Moto g's screen resolution which is again ludicrous. It's the same as the Nexus 4 which was hailed as superb just a few years back.

People are too hung up on specs instead of concentrating on the everyday experience. My S5 has a 1080p screen and it's not that much better than my old Nexus 4 and the screen certainly hits battery life.

The PPI number is most important. I own a nexus 4 and think the screen is superb. It has a PPI of 318. The s5 is 432 PPI so only a small improvement as you said.

Compare that to this Samsung tablet which has a PPI of only 132 and you see the problem. The screen is going to look fuzzy on this tablet compared to other tablets and phones. I bought a China tab with the same resolution and screen size about 4 years ago. Never again. That screen resolution was poor 4 years ago and it's poor today.

I bought this tablet from Tesco yesterday. Currently the same price as in PC World but you get 1500 clubcard points instead of a chromecast. Probably would have preferred the chromecast but don't really need one.

As far as this tablet is concerned, I quite like it. the screen is very good with nice contrast and viewing angles if you don't mind the resolution. It seems quite quick and the tablet feels very nice and light in the hand considering the size of the screen. An ipad air would cost 3 times the price and I don't see the point of paying all that extra just to get a retina screen etc.

You also get some nice extras with samsung. If you download the kindle app you get a free ebook every month etc.

The tesco deal is worth looking at for anyone into clubcard boosts. I got 1634 points for that purchase which will be nearly 33 quid on a clubcard boost.
