No, it's the 10.5" from last year. The 10.1" is the 2019 version.

The €159 one has more RAM, bigger screen, and bigger battery. The €169 one is a good spot, Amazon are price matching MediaMarkt then! That tablet has Pie out of the box, is lighter, and has Bluetooth 5.0.

IMO, it depends if you value hardware (€159 version is better) or software (€169 version will get 1 further update). It's a difficult choice!

Only Samsung could make a next gen product that's literally worse yet better at the same time

Just to add the €159 version (2018 model) has better sound with 4 speakers, instead of two. Also Android Pie update is already available.
Either of these work with s pen?
Thank you just ordered 2019 version many reviews state although this less less ram it performs better! Joined German audible arrives Monday!

I figured Pie would be available, thanks for confirming. It's just that Android Q will probably be its last update but 2019 will be likely to receive Android R

I think with the hardware v software argument, hardware wins every time. No point in having the latest version if it slows down due to insufficient RAM.

Great price, by the way. I guess it will be a European charger, rather than a UK one, but still a cracking deal.

I agree, hardware is generally the better choice in this instance because it's the same manufacturer. If it was a different manufacturer (say for example Google) it could be argued they need less RAM as software is less bloated than Samsung's, but this isn't the case here. I don't see why Samsung downgraded the tablet in hardware!
