It's almost 2021, anything less than 4GB is a waste of dough, especially if it's more than £200

Don't mind leaving on over night but that does deteriorate the battery much quicker over time Not bad but the discription is hilarious it say 15 watt lightning ⚡ fast charging on a battery over 7k mah that's gonna take like 4 hours plus

I have a Google Nexus 7in for 7 years leave it on every night since day 1 and still get over 4 hours out the battery so I wouldn't worry about it.
I'll have one of these black Friday for around 180.

My S2 is better than my iPad (which has been commandeered by my grand daughter anyway) mainly down to having an sd micro slot, in which theres a 256gb card with loads of series and movies I like - I wnder if this is any better ? Apart from the battery, - my S2's is good as it is - doesn't seem any better

This is more a "budget" "mid" option, the s2 still a good tablet now imo.

Good, but not worth the extra £96 if you got the Amazon deal.

I missed that by a day unfortunately, decided the day after that was the tablet I wanted, then saw the deal 😡, got it for £180 but not opened yet.
I know you can expand it, but like what year is it for 32GB memory?
There is also a 64GB version.

Tablets from China come with 128GB.

I'd like to know the start up time.

Probably a pink version for the "woke".
This or a S5E?

Very true. Had not a lick of bother with it.
Only wish I could transfer apps and all downloads to card rather than Internal though
Will look forward to the reviews on this, looks like a decent successor to the Tab 10.1. Cpu/memory has had an upgrade, hoping the screen has too, I found that the weak link in the 10.1.

Or course, in an ideal world the MatePad 10.4 would have Google Services and I wouldn't give this a second glance.
MrSwitch14/09/2020 19:41

Ok.

I think he has a point, depending on the use case (not on price though), you couldn’t even run fortnite on this now.

Will this "work-a-round" function on a tablet?

I'm more worried about this than 3Gb RAM.

I'm a complete Samsung fanboi but this is criminal in this day and age. Bear in mind that only 26/27Gb of that will be usable.

64Gb has to be an absolute minimum these days. Surprised how tablets haven't caught up the way phones have.

Yeah my Nexus 7 has 32gb and that's 7 years old but I've still not filled it once, all my movies, music and books are on SD so its really just apps that would be using the memory but again I'd liked to have seen 64gb because apps are getting bigger all the time.
Edged15/09/2020 01:27

S5e by a mile.

Thanks, can sometimes pick up the S5e in conjunction with cashback and perks portal for around £260. So will hold out a little longer

32GB is stingy.

I've just bought a tablet from China that has 64GB and the price including duty was £102. I know, China etc., but I think Samsung should have provided 64GB for this price.

Give it a about 6 weeks and it will, thing about cheap tablets from china is poor customer service if anything goes wrong and battery is normally terrible like 5 to 6 hours terrible while this will give close to 15 hours of video watching.

No problems with battery life on this one. Over 6 hours screen on time since the last charge 4 days ago, and still on 45%.

My wifes has over 6 hours YouTube, 3 hours farmyard game and 1 hour chrome and still at 42% and that wont chance much over the year while I cant see that in a cheap tablet, I still get over 4 hours on my 7 years old Google Nexus for some reason I cant see yours lasting that long.

That's good battery life, especially if over a 4 day period like on my tablet.

I agree about longevity; I am not expecting my tablet to last as long. In two years though, I can buy a new one and still have spent less than I would on a Samsung Tab A7 (which is also not 4G capable, unlike my Alldocube).

I did have a Nexus 7 but it developed a charging issue at 1 and a half years old, unfortunately. Quite dated now but good to hear yours is still working.
