I bought one of these and a FIRE HD 10 +...Must say the fire HD won hands down for me with speed and quality. The colours on the HD were so much better and at Half the price. Up to you but just my opinion.

Can someone educate me on this please. I think I've seen two versions wi-fi and cellular. Does that mean if I get this WiFi tablet I can't use it outdoors unless I've got a WiFi connection. If no. How do I use a WiFi tablet outdoors? What are the main differences? And is the ram extendenble buying a memory card? (edited)

Trade in value quite poor IMO, only £18 is not a lot. Unless you really want to get rid of your old tablet, I can't see many doing trade in for this device.

I bought this in June when they were giving £50 trade in and a free case. £132 all told. It's an upgrade for my Lenovo tab 2 and for the money it's ok. But, like with all things you get what you pay for and the screen quality isn't that brilliant.

If I had known how long it took to charge I may have chosen something else but battery life is pretty decent if just used for surfing.

Samsung is only one which offers updates to Play store Android tablets so credit to them . Amazon offers updates but does not support Google play store. (edited)

My kids have these, just to say very happy with the performance, roblox and every game they have played perform just fine. We moved away from Fire tablets and these A8s were a massive improvement.

For the processor Unisoc t618 the price is £30-£40 high. Better option is Lenovo p11 with mediatek g99 processor.

When you select to trade in a broken tablet, the details still say the device must hold charge and power on. Anybody know if thats correct? Surely they cant expect that from a broken device?

How does this compare to a Lenovo M10 Plus 3rd Gen? I have a Lenovo Tab4 8 Plus thats a few years old (IPS 1920x1200 display) and I like it but the screen is cracked. I bought a Lenovo M8 but found the screen to be far inferior and returned it. I'm wary of the Galaxy Tab A8 being a TFT screen but the Lenovo M10 Plus 3rd gen says its an IPS screen. Any opinions on this? I just want it to play clash of clans and watch youtube mainly.

Has anyone bought this? I'm so annoyed. It was £143 yesterday. No trade-in needed. I even went as far as to put it in my basket but then waited to read reviews and forgot about it until now. It's now £219

i didnt get either, got one for a client, unlike most other tablets it has a compass to usefull for a large car satnav, most of the bloatware can be uninstalled, but then every samsung phone comes with bloatware, so do all the xiaomis....perhaps january sales.... (edited)
