Indeed, still could do with being under £300 though.

Dont know why Samsung have left out NFC on this tablet.

Looks good .

Most likely because their is no real use for nfc at the moment, so would add
a pointless additional cost to the tablet

In a years time nfc maybe quite relevant Lots of devices have nfc already which is abit of future proofing.

im sure the next galaxy tab, which will be out in a year time, will have NFC if their is a serious use for it (excludes double tapping Bluetooth speakers, headphones). im just stating that it would be a pointless addition that would drive up costs at the moment... i have yet to see a descent use for nfc on a mobile / tablet

I see your point of view however mine is that Samsung makes/buys chips in the millions so the price for an NFC chip would be low and installation costs should be negligible.I would rather pay alittle extra for NFC functionality instead of having to buy another Samsung product because NFC was lacking. The Samsung product I have to upgrade may have all the features I need apart from NFC.It is early days for NFC it may or may not take off.I would rather have NFC functionality at a little extra cost instead of having to buy a whole new device.
