Price just dropped back to £199 this morning. This is the same deal they ran in August and pretty much unbeatable especially when you take into account their additional 2 year warranty and great customer service/returns policy.

Offer ends 3rd October 2014 or I guess when they run out of stock!

Purchased 1 on the last offer. Great tablet. Great Deal.

Great price - I bought one last time round. Comes with a 2yr warranty as standard from anywhere in the EU though.

To get most of it I had to root and install CyanogenMod on it, as original Samsung Touchwiz stutter a lot which is unbelievable until you see it.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 4G LTE for same price in East Europe.

Great tablet- hands down!

Unimpressed with this tablet. Got it in the last offer and returned it a week later. Slow, poor battery, runs very hot.

that would be Samsung touchwiz.

I installed google now, runs sweet and battery lasted 10 days on standby (checking once or twice a day).

As for heat. It's a 800 processor. It suppose to run hot, that it drawing heat from the processor... that's a good thing

You could have got a dud. Mine is plenty quick, runs warm under stress but not hot - even in a case, and I can comfortably get 8hrs screen on time under general day to day use (no gaming).

Are you getting mixed up with the regular Tab series?

This is probably the best Android tablet on the market. It's fantastic!

It was indeed this one. They advised that I upgrade to the tab s to solve all these problems. It isn't an awful tablet, but for being one of the best Android tablets I did expect better.

What these like compared to the Tab 3 8"?

Worth noting there's a 90 day returns policy unwanted, but outside of this within the 2 years it's a repair guarantee only.

Still much better than most places though..

The Tab S is top of the line, isn't it?

Tab s is the Best on the market not Tab pro mate

they are about the same . have a tab 2 10.1, tab 3 8 and a tab 4. I'd save my money and buy the tab 4. He's right about the touch wizard but I've only ever had 1 problem and Samsung helped me fix it over the phone hope this helps.

Sorry, you are correct and it's a Tab S I have. Tab Pro is still good though I believe as it's almost as powerful but without the super amoled screen. There's a lot of Tabs about and it's easy to get confused.

I still have my Tab 3 8 0 and it still does everything I need it to do and I like it but my Tab S is faster and this Tab Pro is also. I think the Tab 3 8.0 has a dual core 1.5GHz processor with 1.5gb of ram where as this is a quad core with 2.3GHz processor and 2gb of ram. It also had a higher resolution screen. It's a fair sized step up from the Tab 3.

Great tablet, I got it when it was on offer last time but every time I watched any video formats it froze and i had to reboot it.So John Lewis replaced it for me with a new one and it's working grand . Definitely better than my daughters ipad mini.

A little off topic but thinking of getting this has anyone tried one:

Does anybody know if this is worth buying now as a christmas gift? Is it likely to go any cheaper and will it still be decent another few months down the line.

I'd say it might be cheaper hard to know but a great tab and as long as samsung update it over the next year it should stay recent.

Buy it and if you see a better deal in the next 90 days take it back to John Lewis for a refund. Just keep all the packaging.

BTW, got mine yesterday, great tablet and well worth the money. Just waiting for my 64GB microsd to come.
