The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is yours for £150 after cash back if you trade in and old samsung tablet (screen size over 7inch) or £200 if you trade in another tablet brand over 7inch. Those with O2 priority can get £25 pound off at £250 spend at currys.

I have just purchased one today for in effect £125 after using my O2 priority and when cashback comes through from Samsung.

There is similar deal for the 10inch tab s at £100 more.
First post so please go easy.

good deal this. also available via John lewis. small print specifies tablet 7" or more £50 unless its a Samsung or iOS device then cashback is £100.

Awesome deal ... only just bought the tab pro but this deal is tooooo good to miss the tab s range is samsung top end tablet... with super amoled screen...awesome...the 10.5 has the better screen type..so if you need one go for this one over 8.4. Either way they are fantastic. Me wish I had one.

I have an Ipad3. I have had it for 2 years. Would you recommend I trade it in (£100) towards a Samsung tab S ?

I changed my ipad 2 to a Tab S, no regrets here.

The T&C say OVER 7" ... this is what's holding me back at the moment. Mine is a 7" Nexus v1.

Good deal, these are worth the £249. Knocking £50-100 off makes it super hot. Screen is almost too good! very bright and vibrant (that's OLED).

Might as well go into store wearing the 'Valentines Balaclava' - taking this away for £149 is theft!

£225 if you just pick up a £1 O2 sim from any newsagent to get a £25 off code.

Can someone reply or message me as soon as they confirm if a 7inch tablet is acceptable.

The T&C says "have a diagonal screen size of 7 inches or more"

(I have a 10.4 S reserved for collection tomorrow and will be trading in my old GT-P1000.)

I picked up the Tab S 8.4 for £230 using the Argos 20% glitch a while back..

It's a steal at this price though...

Just collected a 10.5 S from Argos and got £20 of Argos vouchers .... that I wasn't expecting :-)

Anyone want to sell me a working Samsung or Apple 10" tablet in working order for £1 so I can get the cashback?

Great price. I purchased one of these for about 3 weeks ago direct from Samsung. I am only getting approx 4 hours screen on time and it seems to loose about 5% battery every 12 hours when on standby. I am currently trying to return it via the Samsung website but unfortunately the site keeps saying that I haven't selected an item to return even though I have. I'm not having a great experience from this purchase.

4 hours screen on time is typical of this tablet AND the Nexus 9. See YouTube reviews.

Only 5% loss from standby is good in my opinion assuming it is syncing all your apps like email etc

do you actually get this knock of the £250 or do they give you the £100 on a gift card that you have to spend in store

I've noticed with this tablet the wifi never turns off when in standby even if it is set to not come on in standby mode in the advanced settings. This might explain why the battery is draining when in standby. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have given curry's a ring as I wanted to check on the over 7 inch part of the terms and conditions, the guy said that our galaxy tab 2 7 inch does qualify for the offer. I hope that helps and you can pick up a used one from eBay for £30.

Hi. After using the 8.4 version what do u suggest me to go for 8.4 or 10.5?

Love my S 8.4. Until the signal is weak. Then the bottom drops out of the battery. 70 to 40 to 20 to 0 percent in big steps, in minutes. Then you switch it back on, it's 32 percent. Then back to 10 percent. Samsung know of the problem, all we get are excuses. This is clearly a software issue. Fix this Samsung!

Perhaps you need some charge/discharge cycles to attain a balanced battery life.If remain unresolved try factory reset.it helped may in these circumstances .cheers

Looks like a good deal if you can get a tab off ebay for 30 quids

Got my Galaxy S 8.4” for £225 with the O2 Currys code. The salesman eager to help his boss out was pushing for the extended warranty that I neither want nor need. “Go on, you can cancel it as soon as you leave the shop, the boss needs it for his bonus KPIs and he’s promised to take us all out for a meal if he reaches his target. He’s prepared to give you an extra tenner off if you do”. Knowing you have 14 days to cancel a financial product without penalty (if you haven't made a claim or otherwise used it), I was willing.

They tried to take the tenner off, but it wouldn’t work with the O2 code already present. I asked about the cases, they had an official Samsung “simple cover” for £30 on the shelf, lots of generic ones were for 8” and so wouldn’t fit. So I asked how much they could do me the cover if I signed up…Got it for a tenner on a separate transaction (so as not to interfere with the O2 code). Got back to work and straight on the phone to cancel my cover – easy! £20 saved on the cover and a £320 tablet down to £225 and with my trade-in it’ll be down to £125.

Today was the last day for the o2 code

Was it a Direct Debit you had to cancel?

No, a CC recurring payment as a separate £4.50 item on my receipt (which I know can be a sod to cancel if the company is insistent on you taking them, sometimes cancelling the card is the only way), but you have 14 days to back out of any financial product (which the plan falls under).

Just to let everyone know on the trade-in, Samsung sent me the prepaid box and it arrived on Friday to forward my used tablet. Now that's quick! No room for manuals, leads, adapters etc, a very flat box for the tablet only.

I have a tablet that only charges when the micro usb is at a funny angle. Because they don't ask for the plug do you think this type of fault would be overlooked and it accepted for trade in. I suppose it comes down to what do they do with all the second hand tablets if not break them down for parts?

That should be fine. My lead was bust too (the old type that is a bit like the apple ipad lead), and I used to charge it with the wife's (she also has an old style Samsung tablet, not as old as mine). Instructions are that the tablet needs to be able to be powered up when checking. That is the only test it needs. The screen needs to be free of cracks too. I have been charging mine up today. Give it a full charge, switch it off and get it sent. The address it is sent to is a charitable trust.

The O2 priority offer has changed to £30 off £300 so will probably buy from John Lewis for the 2 year warranty and where both the white and bronze are £249, the bronze looking much nicer (and still 279.99 at Currys PC World).

There's a 2 year warranty at Currys too, it is the standard duration that Samsung gives. Why not go for the 10.5" version or get the 8.4" + case + something else to bump you over £300? Not keen on the Bronze personally. The metal perimeter trim on the white is bronze and i'd much prefer chrome.
