@ Argos !

Amazing the difference in price between Samsung devices dependent upon which is a tablet and which is a phone. oO

Dunno if this is that cheap or not, but I do know there is still a Samsung trade in offer on this which may be nice.
£100 if iOS or Samsung tablet
£50 other tablet (I think)

Bought this yesterday from Argos, but is going back today for a refund.

The screen is amazing but the build quality leaves a lot to be desired. The tablet creaks and right side of the screen is compressible into the body. All in all feels flimsy for a premium tablet. Also a weird thing happened with the battery, it went down normally from 100% up to 40%. Then suddenly dropped to 30%, then 14% the 2% and shut itself down. The time from 40% to shutdown was about 10 mins. Looking at various forums the battery problem is common as is the poor build quality. I had a sealed tablet so I don't think it was previous customer return.

Shame really as the screen is absolutely fantastic, better than my iPad Air 2 screen in my opinion.

how can this be possible?? i still can't believe this.. oO

What is harder to believe is £90 Asus tablets and more have the £50 cashback for any old tablet. Surely erodes profit unless a tiny percentage of people are trading in.

Great tablet I own the ipad air and this and have to say it's the best attempt at a decent android tab to compete and beat the ipad mini.Love it and find myself using it more then the ipad.

OMG I have taken several samsung tablets back to argos as they all had different faults, wake up people.

is this getting lollipop?

agreed, i have a 10.5 at home and an 8.4 and both are spot on, batteries fine, no creaks

I have the 8.4 and the build quality is fine. I thought the battery was poor when I first had it but now getting 6.5 hours screen on time and 6 days standby.

Yes, we all know Samsung devices are the worst ever, that every single Samsung device you've owned was faulty.
Amazing how the vast majority of us have had good experiences with Samsung stuff.

I've had the larger S for about month now with zero hardware or build issues. Had to install a custom rom because Samsung and their bloat can go straight to Hell but otherwise excellent.

i wonder how many would take an extra effort to install a custom ROM. It's due to touchwiz Samsung's devices are never recommendable.

True enough, depends entirely on your comfortableness with that sort of thing.

can I use my Tab2 7.0 as trade in for £100? as this isn't over but is 7.0 inches exactly

Bought this yesterday from Argos and immediately filled out the online claim form to get the £100 cashback (using a 7" Galaxy Tab 2), within two hours I got an e-mail back to say my claim had been accepted - just waiting for a box to be delivered to send it in to them.
I'd been wanting one of these after getting my son a Galaxy Tab PRO and being awfully jealous (ha) and for £129 I'm not disappointed at all, outstanding screen and mmm yes Samsung bloatware is rife but after owning a Note 3 for the past 18 months I've learnt what to disable (not in the habit of custom roms, tried it many times and it's just not for me).
If you have an old Samsung tablet to trade in, for £129 it is an absolute steal

Just seen your post so to edit mine, as above I've got my cashback claim accepted for my 7.0 tab 2 so yes you can.

Power cables and documentation are not required. Only devices that comply with the Trade-Up Criteria are a “Trade-Up Device” for the purposes of this Promotion.

Perfect, I should be able to do the same then.

Hold on, you can get £100 off for your 7" tablet as well? Wow, I thought it had to be over 7". Absolute steal if that's the case.

Samsung announced that lollipop will be coming to this in late March / April

Fantastic bit of kit and an absolute bargain at this price. Got the 4G and I couldn't be happier with it.

That's the case - I posted the T&C's above and had my claim accepted for a 7" Tab 2 - it is indeed a steal, Cex offer £32 for a Tab 2 7"!
They're probably a) trying to shift stock before announcing their new tablet lineup and b) hoping they'll get some more expensive/newer devices to offset.

For the record, iOS devices (i.e. Apple) also qualify for £100 cashback, anything else is £50

any chance of buying this, trading in an old tablet (galaxy tab 2 7.0) and then refunding? I have an old tablet that i dont really use so getting £100 for it would be amazing

vassy201187

yep. only gamble is whether the ebayer is telling the truth regarding its conditions

no cracks and must be working and hold a charge

I got confirmation today that ill get my £100 in 30 days, so my daughters one cost £250-£25 o2 cost-£100 cashback - £2.50 quidco - so hers will cost 122.50 plus a rubbish Samsung tab 3 (worst item Samsung have produced)

if you have o2, then its cheaper at pcworld/currys if you spend over £300 (so another £50.01) - I bought the superb £45 Samsung case/stand that fully encloses the tablet (not the cheaper rubbish one) - its not cheap but its worth it

what do mean refunding - if you mean but the tab 8.4s then trade in the tab2 and return the tab s then that is fraud.

People like you have made these cashbacks a nightmare. Now you have to wait weeks before claiming and hopefully not forget. Then you have to wait months to get your money

Thanks, now run along

Seriously what a loser. Just sell it on ebay for £40-60

yeh the orginal said tablets over 7 inch, but T&Cs and claim say tablets of 7 inch and over - its is a bargain

You can get a better deal at pcworld/currys too if you are on o2. Its £250 but you get £30 off £300 spend, plus if you order it online and collect in store most shops will let your return it and claim the £30 o2 deal. also you can get quidco. depends if you can be bothered with the pallaver
