Highlights

- Samsung's thinnest and lightest tablet ever

- Super AMOLED screen delivers vibrant, incredibly detailed visuals

- Powerful processor and 3 GB of RAM make for fast, responsive tablet computing

- Microsoft Office for Android lets you create and edit documents just like you would on a PC

Lightweight, portable design

At just 5.6 mm thick and weighing a mere 272 grams, the Tab S2 is perfect for on the go computing.

The 4:3 ratio screen is wider than a 7” tablet and gives you a much more immersive reading and viewing experience. The lightweight chassis makes holding it with one hand effortless, letting you enjoy your content wherever you are.

You can carry plenty of media around with you using the microSD card reader, which accepts cards up to 128 GB.

Super AMOLED screen

Whether you're streaming an HD film, editing photos or creating presentations, you can expect beautifully detailed visuals thanks to the Super AMOLED screen. Much brighter and clearer than other tablet screens, you can enjoy your media with vivid colours, crisp lines and high contrast.

The 2048 x 1536 screen resolution is higher than many of the latest HD TVs, so you never have to compromise on image quality when you're working away from home.

Fast, responsive everyday computing

You can expect instant access to apps, files and media thanks to the powerful octa-core processor. If you use your tablet for work or capturing ideas on the go, it's more than capable of running complex apps, such as those for design or photo editing.

Unlike most tablets, the Tab S2 has 3 GB of RAM. This allows you to work on more at once, so you can work between several apps at once, or stream music, chat to friends and browse the web at the same time.

You can even snap two apps side-by-side and work on them simultaneously - perfect for business or students.

Includes Office for Android

The Tab S2 comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office for Android. It works the same way the full PC version does and lets you create Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents, or edit and share existing files when you're away from your PC.

This is ideal for giving essays a final proofread or working on documents on the train home from work.

Enjoy a premium computing experience wherever you are with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

I can't understand how such an ancient tablet is still being sold brand new when it's been succeeded by 2 generations, not that it's a bad tablet, but it should at least be the S3 at this point.

What gorgeous headphones 🤮

Great tablet though.
Great tablet and still going strong after many years.

I don't think it has in this size. Although the bigger 9.7" has an s3 and s4. But it's definitely way too expensive. Having said that, at least with this deal you're getting headphones worth £75 or thereabouts. Makes it a bit more realistic. However, why can't they just offer the tablet at £125 or at least £150 instead, would probably sell more, as many probably aren't interested in the headphones. Having said that, the tablet is decent!
Do Currys only sell the WiFi only 9.7 version?
I'm looking for the LTE version (SM-T819) anyone seen it for a good price lately?
Hot, I regularly get the cheap eBay fee promos, so if I was buying this now, either I'd happily sell the headphones and still end up having paid a good price for an excellent tablet, regardless of the age, the new ones are too pricey

on the flip side, I wanted new headphones a few months ago and had vouchers to use so I bought the 9.7 when it was 249, very happy with both the tab and the headphones

If I didn't want headphones and didn't want to faff selling them then I get that this deal won't be for everyone
Does anyone know if this would be much of an improvement on a Nexus 9? Generally happy with it but's got a bit laggy - it'd cost me about £100-£130 to upgrade to this, which seems a lot as they both seem fairly similar specs and age-wise.
C50BT worth 60 max. Great sound quality terrible built quality, mine broke after 3 months, Argos had so many issues with these that they gave me the money back straight away.

Had the Nexus 9 also-loved it, but did get a bit slow. Youll like this though, slightly bigger (the 9.7 version) , brighter, but very good screen, but still light. As long as you get along with the Samsung stuff compared to the bare Android, youll find it fine. And its got more storage (and sd card slot).

A bargain at £229 with the free Headphones.

Thanks for that, although it seems like all the headphones are now gone so I think I'll be sticking the Nexus a while longer.
