Is this a 16 GB unit with a 16 GB free SD card, or a 32 GB unit?

I can't really see Raj the assistant manager on worktrial fitting upgradings in my local store. Plus I prefer my electronics new and sealed. I'm gimpy like that.

It's more cash, but the xoom 3G is better.

I agree, but I was look for somebody that specified 7 inch tab.
Do they sell stuff which is not new and sealed? also what is the speed of the processor? it's not clear from the link. Can anyone clarify please?
Seems to be a decent tab and a better option to the kindle fire?

It is a nice tab, probably best of the 7inchers that I have played with. Another £30 off and it would be a must-buy but at this price, whilst good (hot), still a bit much.
Seems to be mixed reviews with some people saying they have wifi connectivity issues, was hoping the Asus MeMo was going to be released in the uk but alas it's not so on the hunt again grrr.
No ICS for this unless your install a custom mod, right?
Just got this from Staples, where it is 399.99.

They price matched CPW, and then knocked 10% of the difference off, so got it for 180.08!

This was Leeds Crown Point, where they have 1 left!

This is now being reported as being up for review with Samsung due to "high customer demand".
Can I put my mobile sim-card and browse in this tab ? How much RAM this has ?

On mine there is a slot for a sim card. Not tried it yet though.

Ram, I think its 512mb, well thats what google says.
Playbook is probably the best 7" tablet. It is a shame you can't expand the memory on it.

There is a wifi only version and also a wifi +3g version. This is the wifi only I think it is the 1010 (the 3g is the 1000 from memory)

I don't think so, It might be one of the best specs wise but its too locked down. (If you could just simply compile anything that works with QNX it would be allot better). Might be ok if you have a blackberry phone.

Even at 7" really want 1280x800 display which leaves only the eepad memo and the mediapad (Tmobile springboard). (Neither are that spectacular).
So is it a good deal, or you reckon price will be dropped even further soon?
Mine is the P1000

As with all tech, price will drop, but when? Probably not too far off as compettion intensifies.

Staples only sell the P1000 (Wi Fi and 3G)

CPW seem to be selling the P1010 (Wi Fi only).

So you got a good deal.

I bought a few of these from Tesco when they had them for £149 .... it's a good tab but needs software upgrading. I hardly use mine.

Hardly use ?...Suprised

Got Tesco deal similarly and its never been far from my side. Same size as Filofax for carrying around however infinitely more flexible. The 3G means instant access anywhere. As to software Gingebread is fine for its intended use..Great Tablet

For this deal think its needs to be cheaper as Wifi only and old model

No worries. It's just my opinion, but there are now too many players in this market for prices to remain as they are, once one major name reduces it's prices others will reluctantly follow.

The only thing that will keep prices high is the maybe a lack of supply of components
Can anyone please report the availablr space for Apps please.

It will be under Settings .. SD and Phone Storage .. Internal Storage.

Thanks.
On the 16gb - 12.75 gb.

Yeah, I don't use it much ...

I also got the Dell Streak 7 from Tesco in "that deal" and a second Tab from Staples with a pricematch. I posted receipts on the relevant "Tab" thread and some others were successful in also getting a pricematch at Staples. Some Staples stores would not pricematch. Most would not give the 10% as well (mine didn't). Probably same thing again.

My other Tab and Streak are unopened .... but I can't sell them here so might put them up elsewhere.

Same with the HP Touchpad .... i hardly use it but do use it more than the Tab because of the bigger screen.

Thanks. I get so confused with Android App memory as it seems older tablets (and phones) have a separate, very small memory for installing apps e.g. 180Mb on HTC Desire and approx 220Mb on Arnova 7c G2 tablet.

The newer ones, especially those running Honeycomb seem to just list the whole of the internal storage as available for Apps.

Can anyone confirm that this is actually the case now and why?
Does this have an HDMI port? Thanks

No, but the separate dock does.
I still think Playbook is the Best Bargain and if you want bigger memory just get the 34gb version at
£199 which is £30 dearer but roughly the same Price as a 32gb Micro SD card ?
