Hot - really like mine
i feel lke I have found the replacemnt for my beloved Pebble
And the prize for most useless product of 2019 goes to...... The Galaxy watch active and other 1 day battery life smart watches.

Good price on this but I bought a new sealed one of these for 90 and I'm not convinced its even worth 50, the attroucious battery life just makes it pointless to own one.

I bought the same one and find the battery ok I get 2 days of use before having to charge it. My issues are more with connectivity, my moto 360 used to vibrate to let me know my phone was ringing which was handy when it was on my desk or in my coat pocket but this one doesn't seem to do that. Also I get some alerts but not all of them come through.
Sorry to tell you this but 'JAN2020' takes off 40%, just used it

I love my Amazfit Bip, I can get two months out of it with the display continuous on (e-ink I think) as long as I use it as a basic smart warch (Sleep track, Step counting, weather) and keep the GPS, Message notifications, backlight etc off!

I easily get two days out of mine, too - it's not ten days like the Pebble, but it's less annoying than i thought it would be. Just charge it while I am watching the TV in the evening, and I can still use it through the night to monitor my sleep.
Got mine for 90 on ebay sealed..amazing ..no issues

Having to charge it in the evening just to track sleep sounds like a ballache.

You don't have to.
You can set it so it just sends your mobile's notifications to your wrist, and you'll get more battery life.
Mrs and myself have these after both our Bips broke. I can stretch mine to just about 4 days, you dont need brightness on max, it's totally fine on 50% and doubles battery life immediately, dont need constant heart rate on either theres another 12hrs.

Dont listen to liars saying its 1 day it's not.

Battery life is a complete pain. I've gone through 6 different smart watches before ending up with the xiaomi mi band 3 and now mi band 4. 25 days battery life and it does everything I need it to. Looks pretty crap though compared to the likes of this one but I won't be going back in a hurry
So if you turn off heart rate, lower the brightness and don't use it to track your sleep - in order to get enough battery life out of it - seems like you are not fully utilising it in order to make it last more than a day.Kind of defeats the purpose of owning one. I know the price is what is important here so not knocking the deal.

Hasn’t stopped anyone buying this or the Apple Watch though has it? Personally it was such a hassle that I gave up years ago and use a Garmin that lasts weeks now. But a Galaxy Watch at under £100 is much easier to swallow than a £400 Apple Watch so you accept a battery life compromise.

That's isheeple for you, I blame them for bring this uncooked tech in mainstream acceptance, when any sane person would just tell them fo, wife got it thinking it she could deal with the 1 day recharge rate needless to say after 1 week she had to put it into powersaving mode at which point you might as well get a good old fashioned watch and be done with it, 90 pounds lost lesson learned.

If those things are important to you, and you really need them, then yes you'll lose battery life. Nothing surprising there.

The original complaint was the battery was short. Turning off the sleep tracking, heart rate and brightness was the proposed solution to that.

The Pebble, which lasted several days, also didn't have heart rate, colour, etc - which also probably explains why the battery was so amazing.

If all you want is a reasonable way to replicate your Pebble's function and battery life, you can set up this watch to do that. I think it's unreasonable to expect the Samsung to do more than than the Pebble, yet expect the same battery life.

The Samsung watches I’ve seen typically last 3-4 days off a charge which is better, but this is what happens when people want AMOLEDs and fancy graphics over tracking, real fitness data and good battery life. Garmin will go over a week as will many other brands.
