Even cheaper than Samsung themselves (£50 off with the voucher code)

This is a Tizen 2.0 watch.

If you know what you're doing you could get Android Wear 2.0 on this watch providing the xda guys working on it can get it successfully running, which I'm sure they can.

This deal is specific to the Frontier version.

This runs Samsung's own tizen os, not android wear. Also, tizen was in the tech news recently as being full of security holes...

I didn't say it ran Android Wear, I said it could run Android wear with the 3rd party (non-official) work being done on it.

So, is the unofficial andorid wear ready for this watch? If not, how long? Do they even have a working twrp boot loader for this yet?

bollix, just bought this yesterday for £299 @ argos

Not for me bit at least it looks like a nice watch. Unlike those cheap looking efforts from apple.

Why would you want android wear 2 when tizen is so fluid for this watch? Still think the OS's have a bit more work needed but had a couple of android watches from early days and then got the s2 followed by s3 recently and it's definitely a step up (from the early days of smartwatches) bar lack of apps for tizen. Most things people download are watchfaces anyway. That said, there are very limited apps you can actually usefully use on watches at the moment, things like GPS location is useful for if parking somewhere unfamiliar so you don't lose your car. The S-health app is also really good for sports tracking. Only other thing I've had a lot of use for is the remote camera function (shows phone camera on watch) as my electric meter is behind my washing machine and is a nightmare to get readings from! Had this on my Sony SW3 too and it was great

You said it yourself. Also I was just letting people know that work is being done to get it on the device, whether or not they decide to do that is another thing. But since the watch is rooted someone could just tweak the kernel and squeeze out more battery life out of the device, or even keep tizen but bring android wear app compatibility (something I wouldn't mind trying (to get android wear compatibility on tizen, I've worked on a similar project before), but I don't want to spend near on £300 on a smartwatch even if I'm a watch guy, maybe £150 max)

Yeah I agree will be interesting to see what the guys at xda come up with, especially based on all the rooted phones I've had over the years - breathed new life into so many of them
